Angela Wang

Angela Wang is an American ladies' figure skater. She was born on July 30, 1996 in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA.

She's been competing in the U.S. since 2005-2006 season, where she placed 7th at the juvenile level, and has been a fixture on the international scene since the 2011-2012 Junior Grand Prix Season. Angela is the 2017 Bavarian Open champion, a three-time medalist on the ISU Challenger Series, and a three-time medalist on the ISU Junior Grand Prix (JGP) series. Her JGP medals include gold from a 2012 JGP Croatia.

Angela has not competed since she withdrew from the 2018-19 US Championships.

Just a couple of small observations as we look forward to Angela's new season:

- Two photos of Angela now appear on Phillip Mills website. They are new, AFAIK.

Sooooo, I wonder whether Phillip has choreographed a new program for Angela??
She was in Canada recently, so prob. only one program from Phillip -- if any??

At the beginning of last season, Phillip posted a batch of Broadmoor photos under the heading of 2015-16.
The heading now has been changed to 2016-17; some of last season's photos still are displayed, and some have been taken down. I'm pretty sure that the Angela photos are new, and I think at least one of the Chase Belmontes photos is new.

- Wonder whether Angela will compete at U.S. Collegiates, which are coming up at the end of July -- this year in Colorado.

At last year's Collegiates in Pittsburgh, Angela placed second to Mirai.
And Mirai is not competing at Collegiates this year... ​

I really hope that Angela gets at least one Intl Senior B this fall. I think if she doesn't she has to go through Regionals/Sectionals. That may not be too bad - would the competitive experience at that level help her?

Ryan Bradley is her main coach and then Christy Krall and Erik Schulz. Damon is former coach.
