+5 / -5 Grade Of Execution System

The Personal Best and Season Best scores that the ISU uses for a skater only take into consideration certain competitions. For example, they do not take into consideration domestic competitions, such as Sectional, Regional or National Championships.

The table below takes into consideration all the events that the skater has taken part in. These scores are referred to as “Absolute Personal Best” and “Absolute Season’s Best” so as to distinguish them from the scores recorded by the ISU.

Absolute Personal Best Score
Absolute Season’s Best Score

The Absolute designations are based purely on the contents of the Competitive History table in this post. If anybody knows of any scores that are not in the table, please let us know, and we will be only too happy to add them in.

Some good news. We have Cypriot representation at the upcoming Challenger Event, the Budapest Trophy! Two girls who have come up through the American system, Marilena KITROMILIS and Emilea ZINGAS.

I will add posts about them to the start of this thread once I have worked out the best way to do the tables in XenForo. But, in the meantime, here are the basics to get us started:

EDIT (16th August 2021): It's taken me a while, but Marilena and Emilea now have their own OP's at the start of the thread. Since this page was getting rather cluttered, I have just removed the basic OP's from this post and will now direct you to the full OP's instead:

Marilena and Emilea were competing at the Budapest Trophy today.

Budapest Trophy Senior Ladies SP: Results; Protocols

Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zbH9iE4WqAs

Emilea Zingas finished 7th out of 14 in the SP, with a score of 46.86.

Like with Marilena, this was my first time watching Emilea. And I was so impressed with her! I think what I wrote in the thread at the time pretty much says all that needs to be said:

Wow!!!

I knew she would be good from looking at her past results in America, but I didn't expect her to be quite THAT good.

This girl is going to make Cyprus a contender. So glad she decided to switch to her ancestral homeland.

Just a pity about the touch-down on the jump towards the end.

CaroLiza_fan

One of our Croatian members noticed something significant about Emilea's scores:

Zingas got very close to the TES score (for the Europeans)!

Let's hope she makes it in time.

I hope so too! It would be great to see Cyprus represented at a Senior Major for the first time.

The Budapest Trophy is one of those logical competitions that has the FS starting order as a straight countdown of the SP results. Consequently, Marilena will be kicking off the Senior Ladies FS, while Emilea will be starting 7 from the end. I can't tell you any more, because the Entries / Results page is up the creek at the moment. It has a Warm-Up in between EVERY skater! :drama:

EDIT: The page has now been fixed, and Emilea will be the 8th skater to start. So, 5th skater in Group 2 (and penultimate skater before the resurfacing).

But what I can say is that the Senior Ladies FS is due to start on Saturday 17th October at 16:31 CEST (15:31 BST / 17:31 EEST).

:cheer: ALL THE BEST GIRLS!!! :cheer:

Finally got the Budapest Trophy Ladies FS watched this morning, so can now tell you how the girls got on.

Budapest Trophy Senior Ladies FS: Results; Protocols
Budapest Trophy Senior Ladies: Results

Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AOBKs_q1His

Emilea finished 8th out of 13 in the FS, with a score of 97.75 (there was a withdrawal after the SP). This meant that she remained 7th overall, with a score of 144.61.

I have to be honest - I didn't really enjoy Emilea's FS. It was nothing to do with her skating. That was good. It was what she was skating to. I just do not like Billie Eilish's music.

But, putting the audio to one side, Emilea put in another solid performance in the FS. In fact, it wasn't just solid - it was her best ever FS score! (Her previous best was 0.05 lower, at Regionals last season). She also easily surpassed the minimum TES required for Europeans.

:cheer: WELL DONE EMILEA!!! :cheer:

Emilea will be back in action in this week's Ice Star in Minsk. Although Marilena won't be joining her, she will have team-mates in the form of Angelina Kudriavtseva and Ilia Karankevich, who are competing in Junior Ice Dance.

The full details for the Short Dance are in my new post in Angelina and Ilia's thread. But, suffice to say, it starts 35 minutes from now. They are first to go in Group 2, with the Warm-Up starting in 1 hour from now, and their routine starting in 1h 5m from now.

Emilea will have to wait until the weekend to get into competitive action. The Senior Ladies SP is due to start on Saturday at 17:30:00 MSK (14:30:00 GMT / 16:30:00 EET / 19:30:00 YEKT).

As it is still a couple of days away, the draw hasn't taken place yet.

Emilea Zingas Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x51ghtuaGc4

Emilea finished 10th out of 10 in the SP, with a score of 42.64.

Unfortunately, Emilea's SP at the Ice Star didn't go as well as it did at the Budapest Trophy. She popped the first jump in her opening combo, and then had a fall towards the end of the routine.

That said, this competition is far from over. She is only 1.13 points behind the Belorussian directly ahead of her, and 5th position is only 5.54 points ahead. So, a very good FS could potentially climb her up the leaderboard considerably. (The Top 4 are realistically out of reach).

The Senior Ladies FS is due to start at 15:00:00 MSK (12:00:00 GMT / 14:00:00 EET). So 15 hours from now.

Emilea will be the first skater to start.

She is due to start at 15:06:30 MSK (12:06:30 GMT / 14:06:30 EET). So 15h 6m 30s from now.

Emilea finished 5th out of 10 in the FS, with a score of 97.31. This meant that she remained 5th overall, with a score of 139.95.

I said "against all the odds" for a reason. With being in last place after the SP, Emilea was supposed to be the first to skate. However, as soon as the Warm-Up started, something weird happened to the start order table on the live scoring page. Emilea and a set of sisters who are representing Israel were removed from their starting positions, and repositioned into a new Group 3 at the end of the list.

When it came to the time that each of them were originally supposed to skate, there was a pause in proceedings for a minute or so, and then the next skater was called. This is what normally happens when somebody is a late withdrawal so, naturally, I thought that they were late withdrawals, and that the live scoring page couldn't cope with this.

At the end of Group 1, I paused the stream to go and have my dinner. When I came back, I was surprised to find other members telling me that a third group consisting of Emilea and the Iushchenkova sisters had just come out!

I don't know the reasons why they were moved to their own group at the end of proceedings, but this changing of skate order must have been so disruptive for them. Yet Emilia not only put it all behind her, but she came out and did a Free Skate that scored within half a point of the absolute PB that she had achieved in Budapest a couple of weeks earlier! 😲

It may be only 5 weeks since I found out she existed, but in that short time, this girl has impressed me so much.

Emilea is due to be back in action at the Cup Of Tyrol in three weeks time, where she will be joined again by Marilena.

Can't wait!

:cheer: WELL DONE EMILEA!!! :cheer:

After the cancellation of the Cup Of Tyrol, Emilea and Marilena have instead returned to Budapest to compete in the Santa Claus Cup this week.

Due to the younger age group competitions being held on Saturday and Sunday, the older age group competitions are being held today and tomorrow.

The Senior Ladies SP is due to start at 17:18 CET (16:18 GMT / 18:18 EET). So 5h 30m from now.

Marilena will be the fourth skater to start. So, last skater to go in Group 1.

Emilea will be the seventh skater to start. So, third skater to go in Group 2.

Santa Claus Cup Senior Ladies SP: Results; Protocols

Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CNJ7MROAXTM

Emilea finished 4th out of 9 in the SP, with a score of 51.07.

What can you say? Emilea just keeps proving why she is a star.

There were no noticeable mistakes to my untrained eyes. Although, when I looked at the protocols afterwards, the second jump she did had been downgraded to a single Axel, and so was invalidated.

By coincidence, Eliška Březinová (the skater directly ahead of Emilea by only 2.1 points) also had her second jump invalidated. So, it has all balanced out.

The skaters that we would have expected to be in the Top 3 (Júlia Láng, Ivett Tóth and Eliška Březinová) are currently in the Top 3 positions. However, all of them are known for being inconsistent. So, if Emilea puts in a good FS, it is not beyond the realms of possibility that she could get onto the podium. Or better...

:cheer: WELL DONE EMILEA!!! :cheer:

The Senior Ladies FS is due to start at 17:44 CET (16:44 GMT / 18:44 EET). So 3 hours from now.

Marilena will be the first skater to start.

Emilea will be the sixth skater to start. So, second skater to go in Group 2.

EMILIA WON THE FREE SKATE!!!
...AND THE OVERALL SILVER MEDAL!!!

 :cheer:   :party2: :points: :hb:

I'll add a full discussion in the morning. Apart from the fact that I am tired and want to go to bed, not everything that I link to has been uploaded yet.

Santa Claus Cup Senior Ladies FS: Results; Protocols

Emilea finished 1st out of 8 in the FS (Dasa Grm withdrew after the SP), with a score of 107.60. This meant that she climbed to 2nd overall, with a score of 158.67.

Given that the girls in front of her after the SP have a reputation for being inconsistent, I knew that there was a possibility that Emilea could climb further than just the third step of the podium. But, never in my wildest dreams did I think that she would not only finish second overall, but would actually win the FS.

With the advantage she had from the SP, I was not surprised that Julia Láng won overall. But, when they both went clean, I fully expected Láng to get the nod for the FS. But, she didn't.

Although it would have been lovely for Emilea to win the Gold medal, to get the Silver was an amazing achievement. It was not just Emilea's first medal at an international competition, but it was the first time that Cyprus has won a medal in an international competition at Senior level.

She has done her homeland proud. And she will take them to places they have never been before. Such as Euros and Worlds.

And I say that for a reason. Because during the Santa Claus Cup, Emilea achieved the SP minimum TES that she needed to book a place at the European Championships (she already had the FS minimum TES for Euros from the Budapest Trophy). But, the TES she got when winning the FS here surpassed the minimum required for Worlds. So, she just needs to improve her TES for the SP by 3.17, and she will be going to Worlds too!!!

It's been a while since I posted in this thread, but there are finally some things to post about.

Firstly, today is the 19th birthday of Daniella Vanessa Ipsarides.

:cheer: HAPPY BIRTHDAY DANIELLA!!! :cheer:

:cheer:   :party2: :points: :hb:

I hope she has had an enjoyable day, and that the coming year is a good one for her.

Now, I didn't find this out until today, but Daniella is one of the European Young Olympic Ambassadors for this year's European Youth Olympic Festival in Vuokatti, Finland. The EYOF was originally supposed to be happening this week, but was postponed until December due to you-know-what.

Other figure skaters who are part of the 2021 EYOA programme are Pairs Skater Anna Duskova from the Czech Republic, Ladies Singles Skater Elisavet Voulgari from Greece, and Men's Singles Skater Jorik Hendrickx from Belgium.

Here is an interview Daniella did for the EYOF website:

http://www.eyof.org/ey-ambassadors/daniella-ipsarides/

She gives some interesting answers.

And for our Greek speakers, here are a couple of stories from a few weeks ago:

https://larnakasports.com/alla-spor...iazetai-olympiako-pagodromio»-(binteo/fotos)/

https://www.24sports.com.cy/gr/spor...sa-ypsaridoy-anoigei-ftera-pros-ta-oneira-tis

Sorry that I am only finding these now. It's amazing how much news you miss when you don't look at your Facebook news feed for about 6 months!

After quite a lengthy break, we finally have Cypriot skaters back in action over the next few weeks.

This week, Angelina and Ilia will be competing at the Ludmila Mikhailovskaya Dance Trophy in Odessa, the Ukraine. The event started today for the Novice Dancers, but the Junior and Senior Ice Dance competitions will begin tomorrow. I will post more details about when Angelina and Ilya will be skating in their own Fan Fest thread tomorrow, as the livestream link for Day 2 is not known yet.

And next week, Emilea is entered for the Tallink Hotels Cup in Tallinn, Estonia. The Short Programme is due to be held on Saturday 20th, and the Free Skate on Sunday 21st. I will post more details in this thread nearer the time.

And the following week, Emilea is also entered for the Challenge Cup in The Hague, the Netherlands.

No word yet about when we'll next see Marilena or any of the other team members in action.

And no word either about when Nationals will be held. (Given how strict the restrictions in Cyprus are, I can't see it happening this season).

Apologies that I didn't get posting before skating started in The Hague, but my computer died again this week. Fortunately, this time I had everything I needed and knew what I was doing, so it only took 2 days to sort it, rather than the month that it took the last time.

Emilea ended up withdrawing from the Tallink Hotels Cup, presumably because it would mean competing two weeks in a row. There was a bit of confusion as to where she would be competing this week, as she was entered for both the Challenge Cup and the Sofia Trophy.

Well, she competed in the SP at the Challenge Cup today. She finshed 5th out of 18 in the SP, with a score of 55.05.

Challenge Cup Senior Ladies SP: Results; Protocols

There is no video uploaded yet.

This score was only 0.94 points lower than her absolute PB for the SP, achieved at the 2019 Midwestern Sectional Championships when she was skating in America. HOWEVER, the significance is that her TES today was 30.13. Which means that she now has all the minimums that she needs to compete at the World Champiponships!!! (She already had the minimum TES for the FS from the Santa Claus Cup)

:cheer:   :party2: :points: :hb:

I haven't actually seen Emilea's skate today. But, given the scores, I'm sure it looked good!

:cheer: WELL DONE!!! :cheer:

The FS will be held tomorrow afternoon, starting at 13:00 CET (07:00 EST / 12:00 GMT / 14:00 EET). There is no Time Schedule PDF, so I do not have an exact time that Emilea will be skating. But she will be the fourteenth skater to start. So, second skater to go in Group 3.

Here is the link for the livestream (costs €5):

And here is the live scoring:

http://kunstrijden.knsb.nl/2020-2021/20210225/SEG021.HTM

The interesting thing is that Emilea is still on the Entry List for the Sofia Trophy. Looking at the timetables, it is not beyond the realms of possibility that she could do both competitions. The FS in the Challenge Cup is on Friday afternoon. And the SP at the Sofia Trophy isn't until Saturday evening.

Don't forget, back in 2015, Anastasia Galustyan, Aleksandra Golovkina and Angelīna Kučvaļska did both the EYOF in Austria and the European Championships in Sweden in a single week, with the FS of the EYOF the day before the SP of Europeans.

It's a big ask, though. Especially in these pandemic days when there are a lot less flights happening. However, there is a flight on Saturday morning leaving Amsterdam at 10:20 CET and arriving in Sofia at 14:00 EET... ;)

The thing that makes me think that Emilea will head to Sofia is that there are skaters from the Cypriot team competing there in the younger categories. The team could have a show of strength.

Ekaterina Luneva will be competing in Junior Ladies, while Stefania Yakovleva will be competing in Advanced Novice Ladies.

:cheer: ALL THE BEST TO ALL OF THEM!!! :cheer:

The Provisional Entry List for the Senior World Championships has been released, and Emilea is on it!!!

http://www.isuresults.com/events/wc2021_Ladies.htm

:cheer:   :party2: :points: :hb:

Of course, I have to add the disclaimer that things can change very quickly, and the event may still not happen.

If it does, it will be the first time that Cyprus has been represented at a figure skating Major at Senior level. The only previous occasions that Cyprus has been represented at Majors have been at Junior level (Ipsarides at the 2017 EYOF, and Kudriavtseva / Karankevic at 2020 Junior Worlds).

Incidentally, there are still no videos uploaded from the appearances made by Cypriot skaters since the New Year. But, while looking for Emilea's videos, I did find an interview that her older sister, ice hockey player Elana Zingas, did in mid January.

14th January 2021: Elana Zingas (College Hockey Talk)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=STJ3B01xrXs

I haven't listened to it, so I don't know what all she talks about. But, I know from listening to a previous joint interview they did that the two girls used to do both figure skating and ice hockey, and then diverged when the time came to specialise. So, you never know, there might be a bit of figure skating talk in there!

But, getting back to the present, I am sure Elana is delighted that her kid sister that she used to train with is now getting the opportunity to make history!

Unfortunately, things did not go as well today for Emilea Zingas as they did in her previous competitions this season.

Emilea finished 36th out of 37 in the SP, with a score of 43.20.

World Championships Ladies SP: Results; Protocols

Emilea Zingas Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PQmb5TzDmc0

I don't want to dwell on what went wrong. It's plain to see in both the video, and the protocols.

If this was any other competition, we would be saying "Well, we know the SP is the weaker of Emilea's two programmes this season. She is always so much stronger in the FS, and always makes up lots of places with it". However, at the World Championships, only the top 24 after the SP go through to the FS. So, unfortunately, that means that she will not get the opportunity to improve her position.

Emilea looked totally dejected afterwards. Even when she was sitting on the ice cube with her mask on, you could still see how upset she was. I know it isn't allowed because of the virus, but she really needed a big hug! :ghug:

Emilea, today mightn't have gone the way you would have wanted, but you have proved throughout the season just how talented a skater you are. And I have no doubt that you are going to have many successes in the years to come.

So, let's look forward to bigger and better things next season!

For the second of this week's birthdays, it is the turn of one of the newest members of the team, Emilea Zingas

:cheer: HAPPY 19th BIRTHDAY EMILEA!!!:cheer:

:cheer:   :party2: :points: :hb:

I hope she has had a really enjoyable day, and that the coming year is a good one for her.

Although I had never even heard tell of her this time last year, I could not be more proud of what Emilea has achieved since she switched to representing her ancestral homeland. And I am sure that she will go on to achieve even bigger and better things.

Really looking forward to seeing her next season.

Some good news and some bad news.

The first bit of good news is that the four skaters that are curently representing Cyprus internationally in Juniors and Seniors have now had Bios added to the start of this thread!

Emilia ZINGAS
https://www.goldenskate.com/forum/posts/2775640

Ekaterina LUNEVA
https://www.goldenskate.com/forum/posts/2775642

Marilena KITROMILIS
https://www.goldenskate.com/forum/posts/2775643

Stefania YAKOVLEVA
https://www.goldenskate.com/forum/posts/2775644

Hope you like them!

And the second bit of good news is that Emilea and Marilena are both in action this week at the Cranberry Cup in Norwood, Massachusettes.

This is where the bad news comes in. Unbeknownst to me, the Info box listing upcoming competitions on the front page on the forum had the wrong dates for Cranberry Cup. When I saw it say 15–18 August, I assumed that would mean that the preparations would be yesterday, and skating would start today. And I thought "Ah good! If there is a livestream and the Senior Ladies are on at a decent time of day, I'll be able to watch LIVE!!!" But, when I went onto the Entries / Results page earlier to find out the starting order for the Senior Ladies SP, I instead found the final results. It was actually 11–15 August. So, I've missed it!

Cranberry Cup Senior Ladies SP: Results; Protocols

Marilena finished 8th out of 24 in the SP, with a score of 57.93.

Emilea finished 13th out of 24 in the SP, with a score of 48.85.

I haven't checked for videos yet. But, looking at the protocols, Marilena went clean in her SP, while Emilea had a fall on her triple flip.

Cranberry Cup Senior Ladies FS: No Results Page; Protocols
Cranberry Cup Senior Ladies: Results

Marilena finished 10th out of 21 in the FS, with a score of 101.46. This meant that she remained in 8th place overall, with a score of 159.39.

Emilea finished 9th out of 21 in the SP, with a score of 105.53. This meant that she climber to 10th place overall, with a score of 154.38.

Again, I haven't checked for videos yet. But, looking at the protocols, Marilena had 2 falls in her FS (on a combo early on, and a step sequence near the end), while Emilea went clean.

I'll look up everything tomorrow, and add the details to their OP's at the start of the thread.

:cheer: WELL DONE GIRLS!!! :cheer:

The next bit of bad news is about Stefania's Junior GP debut. It ain't happening just yet. France is not recognising vaccines that have not been approved for use in the EU. And as a result, all the Russian skaters have had to pull out of the first 2 Junior GP's. And that includes Stefania.

To make up for this, Russia has been given extra slots at subsequent Junior GP's so that the skaters that were due to go to Courchevel do not miss out. I really hope that Stefania is also given the opportunity to compete at an alternative Junior GP.

Košice would have been handy, given that her fellow Leader club skaters Angelina Kudriavtseva / Ilia Karankevich are already entered there.

We'll have to wait and see what happens.

After only uploading them the day before, I updated the OP's for Emilea and Marilena with the results and video links for the Cranberry Cup yesterday. But, I didn't get the chance to watch the videos until this morning, which is why I am only posting this now.

I have to confess that I didn't know the music used in either of Emilea's programmes (and YouTube didn't know the music from her SP either). I absolutely loved the FS music, but the SP music was a bit too modern for me. But, Marilena's music was more familiar - Beethoven's "Moonlight Sonata" for the SP and Vivaldi's "Four Seasons" for the FS. But, the former had a twist. It was a version by Depeche Mode, which started out as the normal "Moonlight Sonata" that we know and love, but then went all modern in the second half. And given how much I love "Moonlight Sonata", it did spoil it a bit for me.

As for the skating, I thought both girls did really well in their SP's. It was so unfortunate that Emilea fell, as it was looking good up to then. When she does it clean, it will be be very good. What I saw of Marilena's SP looked very good. Unfortunately, the picture started freezing in the final third of the programme, but there were no minuses in the protocols so it must have continued going well.

As with the first time I saw it in Milwaukee, Marilena's FS was a mixed bag. She had 2 falls. For the first one on the combo, I am convinced it happened because she was too close to the corner, and had to bail. For the second one on the step sequence, she simply tripped over herself. In between the falls, there was also a pop. But, other than that, it looked good. As I said the last time, when she does it clean, it will be impressive. Again, the picture started freezing towards the end. But, it was only in the last 30 seconds.

Moving onto Emilea, and her FS was absolutely beautiful. There are simply no other words for it. I have made no secret that I hated that Billie Eilish racket that she skated to last season. But, I absolutely loved this song. And her interpretation of it was just spot on. She had a few pops, but once she gets them sorted out this will be a programme to be reckoned with.

When looking for the videos of their performances from the Cranberry Cup, I discovered that Marilena had done a competition in Philadelphia 2 weeks earlier.

Philadelphia Summer Championships Senior Ladies SP: Results; Protocols

Marilena finished 7th out of 15 in the SP, with a score of 44.93.

There is no video uploaded yet.

Looking at the protocols, although she did not have any falls, there were a lot of minuses from the judges. And she singled out her flip jump, so it scored nothing.

Marilena finished 2nd out of 11 in the FS, with a score of 109.45. This meant that she climbed to 3rd place overall, with a score of 154.38.

Skate Milwaukee

...

And, although I may be biased, I do think that when she skates it clean, it will be impressive.

Cranberry Cup

...

As I said the last time, when she does it clean, it will be impressive.

What did I tell you?! Although it was not perfect (there were a few pops here and there), Philadelphia was without doubt the best perfromance I have seen of Marilena's new FS. And it totally confirmed what I have been saying. This is an impressive programme.

Needless to say, her score in the FS at Philadelphia FS is her new absolute PB for the Free Skate, totally blowing away her previous best score of 94.82 from last season's Santa Claus Cup by 14.63 points.

Having now seen both programmes from both Emilea and Marilena, I really hope that at least one of them (if not both of them!) enters the Nebelhorn Trophy. Because, in my opinion, these programmes (especially the Frees) are good enough to earn Cyprus a slot for the Olympics.

That said, if this scenario does play out, the problem then arises of who to send. And I would not want to be the person to have to make that decision!

Finally, the Provisional Entry Lists for the fourth Junior GP in Krasnoyarsk was announced yesterday, and it has revealed that Angelina and Ilia will be doing back-to-back Junior GP's.

But no word yet on what is happening with Stefania. 😞

Whole pile of updates.

Firstly, Stefania will now be making her Junior GP debut at the penultimate round, the Baltic Cup.

From what I can tell from the Announcement PDF's fo the various Junior GP's, Cyprus was always down for a Ladies slot in Gdańsk. So, unless they are given an extra slot at the Cup Of Austria to make up for the missed Courchevel slot, that means we will not be seeing Ekaterina in a Junior GP this season. 😞

So, let's hope the ISU show some understanding.

Angelina and Ilia will also be competing at the Baltic Cup. They were originally down to do their second Junior GP in Krasnoyarsk, but that has now been changed. And I am kinda relieved, because it is never idea doing back-to-back competitions.

Speaking of Angelina and Ilia, they will be kicking off their season this morning in Košice. I posted all the details in their own thread yesterday. But, to update the times:

The Short Dance starts in 4 hours from now.
Angelina and Ilia start in 4h 30m from now.

Of course, those of us that have been watching the Junior Grand Prix series so far will have already seen Angelina and Ilia on many occasions. Because they are featured in the montage that is being shown at the start of every segment!

Here is the link to the montage as a standalone video:

And here is the direct link to Angelina and Ilia's clip:

I really enjoyed that programme.

Looking forward to seeing what they have for us this season!

Now the big news. The Provisional Entry List for the Nebelhorn Trophy was released yesterday.

Emilea is entered, with Marilena as substitute.

I did wonder why Emilea was not entered for the Autumn Classic alongside Marilena. But, it didn't twig with me that it was the week before the Nebelhorn. So, everything makes sense now.

Have to be honest, I was kinda hoping that Angelina and Ilia would also be going to Oberstdorf. So, I am disappointed that they are not.

Nevertheless, what an opportunity for Cypriot Ladies skating. Fighting to qualify for the Olympics.

I wish Emilea all the best.
