I was impressed by her program today! Amazing speed and skating. Good connection between skating and music. If not her doubled jumps she can get 120+ easy. Will be very interesting to see her at World Cup.

I'm super happy for her, she did very well at her first europeans!

Hopefully she will get the lutz consistent, it would help her a lot. Her skating skills and musicality are impressive.

Indeed - what a delightful free skate in Euros. Very promising talent. Thumbs up.

She wasn't hesitating to take the Crown of Ice Skating Queen for herself after a years of missing candidates in Finland as she was asked that in the live TV coverage right after the competition.

She seems to have all the elements right at the moment to grow for glory. Let's wish her all the best and health.

Emmi has a big potential. Sad that she couldn't skate well in Italy. But it's only beginning of the season. The main start is ahead.

Well, Lombardia was a rough competition overall. I mean, even with that free skate with several pops and a fall, she somehow went from 18th after SP to 11th in the final results because so many others were popping jumps and splatting all over the place...

Her FS: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=optD1PORYtw

She was ill earlier on, in the summer, so I hope she's fine now and it's just the lost training time that's showing.

Now that Finland has GP event Emmi has a great chance to make her GP debut. Sadly, only Viveca or Emmi can make her GP debut since Finland has only one spot in ladies event.

In any case this was great news for Emmi.

In case any of you were curious about the CBC commentary for her GP Helsinki LP, it's at the 11:18 mark, plus there's a short segment on successful Finnish female skaters at 10:41 (the password is women): https://vimeo.com/296555247

Her kiss & cry is at 0:25 (the password is women): https://vimeo.com/296555284

Her SP wasn't broadcast on Canadian television.

Emmi is such a lovely skater, does she have a shot at getting one of the GP replacement spots at Cup of China, NHK, or Trophee de France?
