Oh no. This couldn't have come at a worse time, either.
Less than two percent of the population is vaccinated. And with the Olympics coming, things could get really serious. It's one thing to hold a smaller sporting event in a bubble, but there's no way to have 11,000 athletes plus all their staff and coaches enter Japan safely and all stay in a bubble. Wishing all the best to Japan.

It was pretty reckless to hold audience in World team trophy and in their recent ice shows considering there was already reports of a rise in COVID during that time. I always thought it was dumb that they allowed audience when even Worlds was held without audience

This is from the news and not me, but the news said that an error they did do was to not accept the clinical trial info on the vaxes and waited to do their own trials. This cost them precious time. As of 3 days ago, they have adopted more vaxxes. Note many in pic are using correct masks.

Well the US has issued a do not travel advisory for Japan due to their Covid cases, and Japan appears to be passing the responsibility for the Games still set to go on to the IOC saying the IOC has the final say, but last check if Japan should choose to, they can close their borders and refuse entry to non-Japanese passport holders.

When I am king of the world, I would take Pfizer up on their offer to vax all competitiors for free. There is still time. All coaches, competitiors, and judges, etc get vaxxed or they dont get in. period. Stay home.
