A sad proscript as I continue my research. In the Spring of 1943, the Secretary of War concluded that the commissions were right...there was no threat. 10 spies were found..all Caucasian. But he was politically trapped by FDR. SCOTUS Hammered FDR in Dec 1944 and People were at that point started to be set free. Some elderly prisoners had no where to go, till groups of kind hearted people found them homes. Kristy Yamaguchi's grandma, of course, was set free cause her husband was in the army but couldnt face the racism so she returned to Heart Mountain.
Any US serviceman wounded in the 442nd who could no longer serve was sent to a camp.
