Step 1. Give it your best intuitive shot at SS. (You are on your own here, but speed is very important.)

Compute the total PCSs for the segment by the formula 5 x SS - .5) x 1.60 (ladies long program).

One purpose of all the extra components besides SS is so the judges can give feedback to the skaters about what they should work on to raise their scores. Your advice to all skaters – work on your Transitions. That is where you are leaving the most points in the table. :yes:
