How high of a level do skaters need to be to get a fanfest? There's a lower-ranked couple I really like but I don't know if I'd be the only one posting in it...

If you like them enough to make a fan fest, go for it. We generally do not have Fan fests for teams lower than Novice, but there is no rule about it.

Hey, don't worry about that. Like, there is one of the threads that I created where I am the only person that ever posts in it nowadays!

But, at the end of the day, the important thing isn't how many different people are posting in a thread. The important thing is that the information is getting out there. Because, you can be sure that there are far more people out there reading the thread than there are actually writing in it.

Haha, I think they're juniors internationally or were a couple of seasons but we don't typically see them at the higher level comps (besides 2016 JWC)
I'm off to make it now :)

Yes, they represent Poland AFAIR, or they did in 2016 at World juniors?

Yes, they did, and still do. They haven't competed since Lake Placid 2017...

I am thinking about creating a thread for Shanaeva/Naryzhnyy in near future but I am not sure about his correct 1st name because according to fskate.ru his name is David but ISU says it is Devid. Is Devid just a misspelled David or is there something real and correct behind it?

fskate.ru
Дэвид Нарижный David Narizhny
http://www.fskate.ru/skaters/4157.html

ISU
Devid Naryzhnyy

In general, Fan Fests use the ISU name, unless there is a very good reason not to.

Just letting you know that I have added three new threads to the Ice Dance Sub-Forum for the partnerships that are either representing Cyprus or (in the case of Burkina / Vitryanyuk) have a connection to the island (Nikita grew up in Limassol).

Anastasia BURKINA & Nikita VITRYANYUK
https://www.goldenskate.com/forum/showthread.php?73907

Maria MILYUKOVA & Nikita VITRYANYUK
https://www.goldenskate.com/forum/showthread.php?73908

Angelina KUDRIAVTSEVA & Ilia KARANKEVICH
https://www.goldenskate.com/forum/showthread.php?73909

The Ice Dance Index Post has been updated accordingly.

All the best to Maria, Nikita, Angelina and Ilia at the Toruń Cup this week!!! :cheer:

I've created a Fan Fest for Matilda Friend and William Badaoui (Australia) as I noticed they didn't seem to have one. I hope this is okay, and I've done it correctly. l'm really enjoying their skating this season, especially the free dance, and hope that others are too!
https://www.goldenskate.com/forum/showthread.php?79095

Thank you. There is an Australian thread in the Teams & Coaches Sub-Forum which they have been discussed in. But it is nice when the skaters get their own thread, as it shows that they are making a name for themselves.

It looks good to me! There was only one very small adjustment that needed to be made - changing the "and" in the title into an ampersand! :)

Matilda and William have now been added to the Index Post above.

Thank you again. :thank:
