I'm an adult beginner (~65 kg, ie ~143 lbs) who's been skating for a few months in a pair of old Jackson Evos (barely used) that used to belong to my sister. They're at least half a size too large for me and often feel a bit wobbly, so I would like go get my own skates that are suitable to my feet.
I went to a local fitter and got to try some Edea Choruses that were way too narrow, as I have pretty wide feet. So the fitter suggested Jackson Freestyle Fusions (width W) and ordered my size since they didn't have it in stock. Thing is, after reading up I'm a little worried about the Aspire XP blade that comes with the Freestyle Fusion outfit. I've read that it is difficult to spin on and that it has large toepicks, and spinning isn't really something that comes easy for me to begin with. I'm sure it's absolutely possible to learn on the Aspires, but I'm not exactly a great skater and I don't want to make things more difficult than they have to be. And I really don't need to be tripping over large toepicks.
I've been looking around and were wondering if I could go with the Jackson Debuts and some other blade instead. The stiffness rating on the (non-firm edition) Debuts seems to be the same as for the freestyles, so I guess they're equivalent? I don't mind spending a little bit extra money as long as they fit and feel good to skate in.
If I go with the debuts, what blade would be appropriate for my level? I skate 1-2 times a week both in a group with other beginners and on my own. I'm not doing any jumps yet, but if there's a blade that will work for me through the basics and potentially some single jumps that would be great.
