Jacob Sanchez

Jacob Sanchez (born April 23, 2007 in Middletown, New York, U.S.) is a men's singles skater, representing the US.

He is a 2024 Youth Olympic silver medalist in the team event, the 2024 JGP Turkey and the 2024 JGP Slovenia gold medalist. He qualified to the 2024-25 JGPF and won the gold medal. He won the 2024 Tallin Trophy Challenger Series Event. In 2026, Jacob represented the U.S. at three ISU Championship events, Junior World Championships, Four Continents C

At the national level, he is the the 2026 pewter medalist, 2023 U.S. Junior silver medalist, and the 2021 U.S. Junior pewter medalist.

Jacob Sanchez serves as an ambassador of Diversify Ice, an organization that strives to support competitive figure skaters from minority groups.

OMG... i was 100% sure Jacob had a fan fest for years by now... otherwise I would have adopted him... He's my favourite american skater right now and one of my favourites in all juniors... I just like his on ice personality so much. Looking forward to watching him during JGPF.

Jacob is making his senior National debut tomorrow. Although he doesn’t compete with quads yet, Jean-Luc Baker and Gracie Gold spotted him working on a 4Lz at official practice this morning and chatted with him about it afterwards. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-kqrhYE_CWQ

Jacob says he’s been working on the lutz for about 6 weeks, and seems to have a good feeling about it. He’s already worked on 4F and tried all the other quads except the Axel, but he believes that lutz will be his first quad and hopes to compete with it at Junior Worlds. Then he wants to learn 4F, 4L, and 4A! I didn’t realize Jacob was this sort . I first saw Jacob at Youth Olympics and have admired his skating ever since. I just want him to skate in a way he can be proud of and cement that spot on the junior world team!

Jacob and his friend Rio are the skater boys I’m cheering for the most at JWC. I don’t want to jinx him, so I’ll just say no matter what, Jacob has had a wonderful season and I’m celebrating.
