In case the YouTube links become dead, I've uploaded commercial-free versions of Joseph-related Nationals clips that I've obtained from a different source (all are 720p):
For those you who didn't check the Quebec Summer Championships thread, I'm finally active again on this forum after going "missing" for several months. To make a long story short, I did finally get the operation that I needed for my life-threatening condition, so I'm no longer in danger of dying, but my recovery isn't going as well as hoped, so if my current symptoms don't improve after a certain amount of time, I may have to undergo another medical procedure. hwell:
Here are my fancams of Jo from that competition, which he won :medal" :
I was the recipient of that beautiful beaming smile of his a few times last weekend. Jo is 18 now (his birthday was Aug. 4th), and his appearance has noticeably changed since I last saw him a year ago. He looks like a young man now, not the teenager that I knew previously, although he remains as endearing as ever. :luv17:
It's 2 weeks late, but Patinage Québec has finally made the archived livestreams for the Quebec Summer Championships accessible to the public (they were set to private before), so I've cut this performance from the video file I've downloaded.
Unfortunately, the Junior Men SP is nowhere to be found (this event wasn't livestreamed), so we have to assume the official footage is non-existent due to a technical glitch. You'll have to go back to my fancam for that particular performance.
Jo's mother recently informed me that there's one item among the birthday goodies that I gave to him in Pierrefonds that Jo absolutely adores, and he uses it daily ever since he returned to Toronto. Wow, I'm so thrilled that he's very happy with at least one my gifts!!! :dance2:
I like to call Roman Sadovsky "my Princeling" and Nicolas Nadeau "my King", but I believe Joseph Phan is destined to become my Emperor! (His long program music is "Emperor Concerto." ) It's so fitting that his costume is purple, which is a regal colour.
Joseph is in 3rd after the SP at the JGP Riga :cool14: : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EN4T1bWUDI0 He looked nervous before he skated, so I'm relieved that he had a good performance after the mistake on the 3A.
