Jumps: long set up vs. transitions

If telegraphing doesn't have fast speed it looks terrible and boring. But if they cut music to account for telegraphing , and the skater is moving fast across the ice then it looks very effective (as long as it's a difficult jump)

Take ladies' 3A for example, Aliona's transition flows and looks amazing, Rika's set-up which looks similar to Mao's is also good imo but not as good as Aliona's. Young's set-up is a bit too much and I'm also not a fan of Alysa's visible 'slow-down' before entering 3A. However, both are still young/new to this difficult element and have a lot potential to improve.

Boring answer, but it really depends on the skating/skater as well as the chosen music to me. I don't mind a bit of a long set-up if that fits the music. Sometimes the transitions look cluttered and a set-up glide instead would be wonderful, but there are also quite a few cases where the transitions are superb.
