The two-time U.S. National Jr. 🥈 is currently working on improving all her jumps for 2024-25 and has also been training the quad Salchow. Check out her latest interview!

I love that at 13, one of her favorite songs is "What a Wonderful World" and that she's familiar with the Louis Armstrong version, even if she's not skating to his version. I also love that one of her coaches and choreographers is Sean Rabbitt. It sounds like the team around her is challenging her to grow while still allowing her to "be her age."

I really enjoy learning more about the upcoming skaters! They are a delight and have so much enthusiasm for the sport! I'll be watching her 3-3 combos this season ;)

@Weathergal, you took the words right out of my mouth! Those were my two big takeaways from the article, too. I can see why the Lexi Mae Walker rendition of "Wonderful Life" speaks to a a young girl, while at the same time Keira shows thoughtful appreciation of the Louis Armstrong classic as well.

And how cool to see crowd favorite Sean Rabbitt in the coaching box. (Also kudos to Karen Kwan for choreography).

I think Keira had a growth spurt klast year (?) She looks quite a bit taller and more mature this year than last.

Me three about Sean Rabbitt. :)

Since I am not a devotee of the women, I have watched Keira solely because Sean is her coach. If he manages to impart his vision and joy on ice to his skaters that can only be a plus. She certainly seems to be improving and I look forward more of her (and Sean )

I agree! Sean brought so much to skating as a skater - his joy, his persistence, his beautiful programs, and more - it is great to see him bring those things to skating now as a coach.

When I read the short blurb about the author of the article, I was happy (and surprised) to see that our host Paula has some free time:). Thanks so much for Golden Skate.
