This team made their international JGP debut at JGP Austria where they finished 2nd. They had one massive and very costly error in SD obviously, but other than that they were really impressive. They are a pretty new team since they have skated together only one season. I am looking forward to see how they will do at their 2nd JGP event because they most definitely have a chance to make it to the JGP Final.

They weren't named for the 6th event but it should be given that they will get 2nd assignment. They will most likely skate at the 7th event.

The new hope of russian ice dancing, I'm impressed by their technical ability for russian dancers; very good speed and skating skills.

while Konkina is tall, she is no Stepanova as Konkina knows how to bend her knees, good skating skills and better posture. Yakushev reminds me of Nikita, fast and agile. But She is still 16, I hope she doesn't outgrow him.

Yay, they finally have a 2nd JGP event. They will skate at the 5th event next week at Croatia.

Awesome! I hope they can qualify for the JGPF.

it will be difficult, if Usakova/Nersakov place second here they might be given another assignment, too many good russian ice dance juniors this season but I think only 4 russians will qualify, C/P and maybe L/L might make it.

With KY skating in Croatia made it more difficult for LL to make the JGPF. KY had a higher total score in Austria with two falls than LL in Brisbane

Next season will be their last junior eligible season and it will be interesting to see if they can make it to the Junior Worlds next year. It will not be easy for them since all the other teams except Skoptsova/Aleshin (and Shpilevaya/Smirnov who were injured) will still be in juniors also.

I am really looking forward to see how the new teams, Konkina/Vakhnov and Polishchuk/Yakushev will do next season. Too bad that Polishchuk/Yakushev will have only one junior season left. For a long time I have seen a lot of potential in Yakushev. Hopefully Polishchuk turns out to be just the right partner for him.

Are we certain that Polishchuk & Yakushev are a confirmed team? They were together in that photo with the other dance teams from Krylova's, but Yakushev is still on Ice Partner Search and his profile there has been updated more recently than when we saw the photo. Daria Drozd & Kizala were in the same photo, and she is still on Ice Partner Search also--updated only this week.

Nope, nothing is certain. They weren't named as a reserve team like Konkina / Vakhnov were which could indicate that Polishchuk / Yakushev haven't officially teamed up yet. But it could also mean absolutely nothing. In any case I haven't heard any news about them lately.

There is a rumor that Yakushev is skating with Diana Avaz now. She used to skate with Val Katsman for the usa but I don't think they ever skated any international events.
