Wicked Yankee Girl
Meryl and Charlie have been working witn Classroom Champions since 2011. Their interest is partially inspired by Meryl's problems with dyslexia and depth perception. The program helps kids to learn to overcome their difficulties and meet their goals.
Meryl on her dyslexia:
The program does not only help students. It helps teachers, too.
Three years ago, I was dragging myself toward the end of my fourth year of teaching. The stress of testing and my struggles with the curriculum had me on the verge of burning out. Today, I’m still a teacher. And, as odd as it may sound, what changed my outlook was two Olympic figure skaters.
Here are some videos about the program and some of the live chats Meryl and Charlie did with classrooms they were mentoring.

When Meryl Davis & Charlie White visited the Today Show in celebration of the 100 Days to Sochi celebration, they also were able to give their students from PS 4 in New York City a really special treat. They invited their class to Rockefeller Center that morning and after their performance spent time talking to the students and taking pictures. It's a day that none of these kids will forget anytime soon!
