2002 Winter Olympics, Men's Free Skate: I can't remember the specific skate order, but longtime rivals Todd Eldredge and Elvis Stojko skated in the same group. Both were in their final Olympic games, both had hoped for better results, both knew they probably wouldn't be able to medal. As the one skated off the ice and the other skated on, they slapped hands with each other as if to say "Good luck, buddy!"

cake, thank you for the link. I enjoyed the skate, loved Sarah's reaction. I also really enjoyed reading all the names of the ladies that had competed at the end. I recognized so many of those names as skaters I was able to watch live over the previous years such as Sonia Lafuente, Dasa Grm, Elena Gedavanishvili and Alena Leonova among others.

Just rewatched the FD from Skate Canada; I missed this the first time: https://youtu.be/mlhv1VGNRvY?t=1950

Smart/Diaz are waiting in the K&C after their bronze-medal-winning Zorro program. The camera briefly cuts to Green/Parsons, who were sitting in first after their awesome Martha Graham-inspired program. Green/Parsons make synchronized Zorro signs. Made me smile.
I totally agree! I had a big smile on my face as well when I saw that.

I loved this too, so lovely to see the teams supporting each other!

There was fun at the ice dance medal ceremony also:
The medals were on the wrong stands so Smart/Diaz and Guignard/Fabbri got the wrong colour! Then, once they realised, Piper and Paul facilitated a medal swap for them from the top step of the podium and re-presented everyone with the correct colours
Here's the video, from the start of the medal exchange: https://youtu.be/yEU4EUxKRLI?t=8265
