Thank you! It's been an amazing experience and every worker/volunteer (minus some of the shuttle drivers) have been amazing!
Lovely..
I volunteered at Boston Worlds 2016 and it was great fun! Shuttle drivers are a varied experience 🤣

Ok, I just saw Jackie Wongs practice tweets, and it seems Gracie is seriously considering switching out the 3Lo with the 3F in the SP today? At least that what she did it in practice :jaw: :jaw:

I´m getting nervous about the layout, but also Gracie seems to mean business, she really wants to climb those stands and it´s so lovely to see the motivation and hard work! And it seemed to be working in practice today.

I´m not sure she will benefit from it if she goes for it, considering she got only 2,97 points for the 3F in Nebelhorn all though she actually landed it, because she got negative execution, got called on edge and it was also UR I think. On the other hand, if she wants to be up with the best eventually she might have to go for the 3F, and she needs to perhaps not succeed with it before she benefits from it in competition.

Ok, so I checked the practice reports on the web page, and there it seems Gracie marked her Lo in the runthru, somehow it seems to be missing from Jackies tweet:

"Gold: runthru (marked Lz, 2A, marked Lo), 3Lz3T, 3F(e?), 3F(e?), 3Lz3T, 2A, 2A"

Seems she focused more on the 3F in the practice though, mut maybe she was just feeling it today and will still go for the loop.

When I watched the run through on the practice cam, she still did a single loop where the solo jump would be (she was first skater and wasn’t warmed up yet, she also did a single lutz). Though I agree it seems weird that she didn’t do any triple loops afterwards. Someone mentioned with the hip injury she might put the sal in instead of the loop in the short which seemed like a good idea to me. While she has had very solid practices I worry that she’s going for too hard of content. I wish she had really crunched the numbers and done 3T 3T combo and 3Lz in the second half of the short, I think that would give her a lot of success as a layout, but I’m not her or her coaching staff. I just want her to have a skate she can be proud of later today!

Gracie should stay away from the 3F. “Less is sometimes worth more”

Yes, I just corrected myself in a later post because I discovered there was a part missing from Jackie tweets, but thank you for sharing your observation as well :thank:

I´m also a bit worried about a possible hip injury, i´m hoping she isn´t hurting herself. Her sals are usually good so maybe a good idea to change it with a loop, but it seems odd that she didn´t actually do in practice today if she is replacing it.

About 3T-3T, maybe I´m wrong, but did Gracie ever do one? 3T never seems to be her favorite jump, she had a pretty rough landing on it in Nebelhorn, she seems off axis, but maybe because it was late in the program. Possible she actually doesn´t jump it that much either, since it´s one of the "easiest" jumps. But some skaters actually never get on terms with toeloop and have better success with lutz.

Whatever she does, I´m also just want her to have a good skate and feel good about herself :) I´m really looking forward to watch her tonight!
