Since he will most likely skate at the JGPF this season I think he deserve a thread here.

I will put this one here also.

Things looks pretty good for Savosin indeed. In theory he could still end up in 7th on the standings but that is highly unlikely. Once Dima (or someone else) wins both events Savosin will secure his place at the final. The only way Savosin might not make it is if there will be 7 different event winners and they all have similar placement, 1st and 2nd or 1st and 3rd like Savosin.

It looks like Roman has the same kind of strategy than what he had last year - to compete as early as possible. Last year he skated at the 1st and 2nd JGP event and now he has been assigned to the 1st and 3rd event.

It seems Roman will stay in juniors since he is one the Russia's entries in JGP Slovakia.

This season will be his last junior eligible season.

Yeah, it was kinda obvious when he didn't get any senior Grand Prix events and he was guaranteed one  Guess he wants to try and get a GPF/Jr Worlds medal. Or the Fed doesn't think the new crop of juniors are ready (no quads, unstable or no 3axel) so they kept him in juniors :confused2:

In any event, good luck to him! :hap10:

I like him a lot, wishing him all the best. I hope he does well and gets two placements at JGP.

I think it was probably a good decision to stay in juniors. He has been 4th at the JGP Final and 5th at the Junior Worlds. So, the medals haven't been far away and who knows maybe he will get some big medals this season.

I hope he works on getting positive GOE out of most of his elements and level 4s on all spins. That World free is an example. He would have medaled if he had all level 4s on spins and about 1/2 the positive GOEs that Danielian got even with the flip error or he could have just landed the flip. He was so close to that bronze.
