Sei Kawahara

[Perdita]

Sei Kawahara (川原星) is a Japanese figure skater who was born in Fukuoka, 17 December 1995. He belongs to University of Fukuoka, coached by Miwa Ishihara and Kensuke Nakaniwa. His highlights as a junior skater were winning bronze at JGP Czech Skate in 2014-15 season and winning the junior category at the Challenge Cup 2014. He debuted in the Grand Prix Series at Skate Canada 2015, replacing Peter Liebers.

He's a young Japanese skater with a beautiful, somewhat 'noble' style. IIRC, he looks up to Tatsuki Machida and it's so apparent in his emotive style. There's something very Daisuke about his head movement as well! Hope too see more from him next season

Ohhh he's coached by Kensuke Nakaniwa, a skater Daisuke himself used to look up to. Well Tatsuki got his debut in the GP series at the age of 20 so I wish him the same trajectory in his career from now on.

Actually now I remember back during Skate Canada there were a lot of people who were startled by the similarities between him and Tatsuki. According to this tweet he is 町田樹ガチ勢 which I guess it may mean "Machida obsessed"?
