One of those rare teams which, in their own words, "want to spread happiness", and they really do! Elegant team, purity of feeling... I rather want to say less and only silently wish for this pair to reach their goals...
It really is a joy and privilege to see the skaters for whom figure skating is not only medals but something much, much more.

This Olympic cycle has seen the Pair event get way weaker and more boring then the previous 4 years with all of the retirements after 2018 and other factors like what happened to the French team but no other country has stepped up and shown any promise at least between 2014-18 their were lots of good teams from more then just Russia and China and more variety and the pandemic didn't help but it looks like interesting new teams are rising not just from Russia or China.
