@dorispulaski just curious about the lilsis name - did you say it's a nickname? I used to work with someone who often referred to her younger sister as "lilsis." Also her dad would call her (she was the middle child) "sis" or "sister" instead of her given name quite a bit. Wondering if it's a cultural thing or just a coincidence.

My uncle, aunt, and cousins called me sis when I was young. My brothers did not use the term. I was the youngest child and the only girl in the bunch.

They were from Trumbull, CT.

My friend Deb's (the only I worked with) family is Polish so I wondered if maybe it was a Polish or Eastern European tradition of some sort. Always thought it was cute that her dad called her "Sister."

We are all of English ethnicity, from Exeter, Chew Magna, Wales, & Liverpool

My husband had the Polish surname.
