Trying to decide between two blade lengths for new boots

Hi everyone,
so I have new boots (Graf), length of sole is 249 mm.
And I have new 9.75 inch blades (that were bought for different boots initially).
If I choose to use these blades, that'll leave a 1-2 mm gap at the heel end.

On my old boots (different brand, Jackson, higher heel, therefore a bit shorter sole) I had 9.5 inch blades.

Now I'm trying to decide if I should rather go for 9.5 inch blades? (Which I would need to order, since I can't use my old ones)
It would give me a gap of 7.8 mm at the heel end.
And they are Gold Seal blades, which are already quite a bit longer than other blades.
So I'm just a bit worried 9.75 inches might be a tad too long for me?

Technically both blades should work, right? (and my skate tech will say the same)
And it comes down to personal preference? But I've never tried skating on a blade that is basically flush with the sole, so I can't say what I prefer.
Basically I'm just worried, because Gold Seals are so long already.

Would be happy to get some insights from those of you who have some more experience with skating on different types of blades.
Thank you so much in advance!

9.75 is the more "correct" size, but having a shorter blade, especially one with a long tail like GS is fine to have a bit shorter as well.

But since you have the size 9.75 already, then just use those. You can always get shorter blades later if you feel like, and then you'd learn about your personal preferences as well.

Just my 2 cents to ease your mind anyway. Good luck!
