I love this idea! There was an amazing men's FS event at a GP Final when quads were still a novelty. But at this event multiple quads were landed. Was it 1996?

Great idea. I vote for 2013 Worlds, the last one in Canada!

Firstly, I just wanted to let you know that since there were 2 very different conversations going on in the "WORLDS CANCELLED - What are people doing who are still going?" thread, I have moved the video requests conversation into a separate thread (i.e. the one you are reading).

Secondly, is it any Major competition that can be requested, or just Worlds and Olympics? Because I would like to request 2003 Europeans, as it was the competition that really got me into figure skating.

And here is the specific routine that got me hooked:

96-97 GP Final, the first quadfest. IIRC Stojko, Urmanov, and Kulik all landed quads (at a time when quads were rare), and Eldredge also skated extremely well.

Whichever competition you choose, I'm looking forward to it.

2016 worlds . Javi Fs just amazing.

I will also throw my vote to 2016 Worlds, because iirc it was blocked on the ISU old collection of videos.

Alternatively, a collection of top four in each discipline from 1999 to 2019 would be much appreciated!

Thanks for the new thread...I can attempt to do 2003 Euros but very little content is out there for this event. It is one of the larger holes in my collection.

I too have loved this skate of Carolina's. It was such a pleasure to see her grow up into the beautiful skater and woman she is today.

I will tackle the 2016 Worlds a bit later after I have a bit of rest. I once knew where all the links are, wonder how many are blocked.

Grant Hochstein’s Skate of His Life in the Free is not yet blocked. I have rewatched it on my own, let us say more than once;)

For that and for Javi, I’m also fond of 2016 Worlds.

Thanks Seven Sisters for the request!
I got very excited for this event once I saw the lineup of skaters, many of our faves were early in their careers and many greats were still competing. A perfect blend of awesome pairs (see early Knierems), peppy polkas, a hard fought mens SP and a ladies sp full of favorites. Baby Wenjing Sui & Cong Han and baby Yuzu...

What happened at the ISU World Figure Skating Championships 2013? Memorable moments.

Videos and interviews from the 2013 ISU World Figure Skating Championships

I can't wait to re watch this event as it happened! Some many skates I had forgotten about. If you have better links, please share..

Labgoat, thank you for this gift! It has everything that was 90's skating: commentators in evening wear, iconic costumes, classic rivalries, and fluffy fluff pieces. And, of course, the quads. Does anyone else think that Kolyada resembles Kulik? The spring in those jumps!

Oh yeah! I called Kolyada as mini-Kulik the moment i saw him. Its the haircut and the rosy cheeks and of course the jumps. I'm glad i could share it with you.
