Speaking of rain, there was a typhoon alert in Tohoku, and many flights have been cancelled, and even some Shinkansen bullet trains, so that even some people who had planned their travel to arrive much ahead of the event were not able to get in time.
And at the news of tickets at the venue, a huge file (about 2h under heavy rain) formed itself, and the first foreigners arriving to the head of the file were told that they couldn't get a ticket:

I'm sure that Yuzuru Hanyu, who cares so much for his fans, was not very happy with the mismanagement.
But the venue seemed rather full in spite of all that:

Meanwhile, fans from outside who had managed to get to Sendai were queuing for some monakas, a delicacy made by a Sendai confectionery which Yuzuru Hanyu has offered to Fantasy on Ice guest artists this year:

Maison Coelacanthe

Sophistacted dessert store, sibling to one of Sendai’s most famous cake stores. Come for shaved ice in the summer, montblanc in autumn and seasonal sweets year round.

Of course, in spite of Maison Coelacanthe having made a bigger number of them in prevision of demand, they were sold out. The queue reached 3h! Hanyuconomy...

Sendai today ....

Sendai today was also a huge queue outside Maison Cœlacanthe. When the shop manager saw that there were already 400 people awaiting, he decided to open it at 9:30 am instead of 10:00. I don't know at what hour the monakas were sold out.

There was less queue (and much sunnier weather) outside the Fantasy on Ice venue in Rifu, as the event was sold out. About Friday, JTB, the tour operator who buys Fantasy on Ice tickets to sell packages with travel and accommodation, had cancelled the travel altogether for those who had booked for that day, because of the typhoon alert.

Saturday evening, ANA (All Nippon Airways), a sponsor of Yuzuru Hanyu's, had organised at the Holiday Inn hotel a cocktail where cocktails were named after jumps used by Yuzuru Hanyu at Fantasy on Ice, and snacks with yuzu (the citrus fruit):


To promote their ready meals for athletes, Kachimeshi, Ajinomoto has a package with 11 items plus an acrylic stand of Yuzuru Hanyu:

Guest musicians are different between Fantasy on Ice Tour A and Tour B. The two first stops (Makuhari and Rifu, Miyagi near Sendai) were Tour A, and the two last stops (Niigata and Kobe) will be Tour B. The guest artists, and part of the skaters, will be different, while some skaters are doing both Tour A and Tour B, such as the main cast, Yuzuru Hanyu, Stéphane Lambiel, Johnny Weir and Javier Fernández skate on both tours.
ISSA and KIMI, from DA PUMP, had therefore their farewell to Fantasy on Ice this Sunday.
KIMI reports having received a pamphlet signed by all cast, and a letter from Yuzuru Hanyu:

On Friday, Yuzuru Hanyu imitated a cat in front of Shizuka Arakawa (the other Japanese Figure Skating Olympic Gold Medallist, also from Sendai); the second day, he imitated a dog:

The third day, he did spins ending in a windmill.
