Indeed, I fail to see what's so interesting about it anyway.

Camera directors for figure skating are idiots.

Give them a toy, they will use it ad nauseam, no matter how bad or inappropriate it looks.

The sky-cam seems to be out of fashion now (THANK YOU PATRICK CHAN!!!), but the stupid extreme close-ups remain (directors should receive electric shocks every time they show a closeup during an actual competition program)... and I guess this 3D thing now...

Figure skating is a competitive sport, the skaters use all their entire bodies, we need to see their entire body at all times. No director can predict their movements... so DON'T DO THE CLOSEUPS til the replays and kiss & cry !!!! BAH!!!
