I'm going to the dentist this Wednesday too! I jokingly call it "The Filipino Torture Chamber" out of jest, because it's actually the least painful one I've been to in memory. Run by (for the most part) pretty-looking Filipino ladies, one who usually wears a dress with the image of Betty Boop all over it. Each room has a 20 inch mounted TV screen, giving the patient their choice of Canadian, American or Filipino TV. I don't understand a word of their language, but if you've ever seen the skimply-dressed lady handlers on a Filipino game show.....
Sure hope it all went well with a permanently fixed ending. I've had a lot of dental work over the years and can "feel" for you. Let us know.
Well it has now been three days since the dental specialist treated my tooth. It was okay the other day, but now it is back to its usual dull ache. In fact tonight it feels worse than ever. I guess the "redo" did not work. My dental plans will not cover a root canal redo, so now I may be out about $1,000.00 out of pocket plus I will likey have the tooth extracted. It's been a painful experiece all the way around - not just my tooth, but now my pocket book. I guess I should have had the darn tooth pulled at the start. Who knew? I have had several root canals over the years and they have always been successful - that is until now....
Not a happy camper!
Sorry to hear that Lad. I want to see the x-rays. I am not a dentist but a "DentiPhobe I 'spose" - I love them. I wish everyone were as lucky as I am to have the worlds best Dentist. http://www.kupkasmiles.com/index.htm I hope they removed the full root, but also kinda of do not, for if there is pain (not phantom or psychological in anyway) it could mean there is infection on your jaw. I really hope not and they do better for your return. MAYBE your gums are just causing this temporarily.I have had several root canals over the years and they have always been successful - that is until now....
