Well, Yuna is probably the most favored to win the Olympic gold by the media and skating experts. There will be LOT of media scrutiny over her Olympic performances. That's something going for her, if by some reason, she places second over something as controversial as the call made by the GPF tech specialist.
From the way that Cinquanta is bullying and threatening certain federations, it sounds more like he should be heading the mafia, not a venerable international orgnization like the ISU.
So the conspiracy theory goes as follows:
The Japanese Skating Federation has greased the pockets of the tech specialist Myriam Loriol-Oberwiler of Switzerland for years, who does in fact have a history of downgrading Yuna. The JSF sees to it that she is the caller for the GPF in Tokyo. She deliberately downgrades Yuna in Japan so that when she deliberately downgrades Yuna in Canada she has "evidence" of Yuna's shaky skating skills to back her up. The JSF has bribed Cinquanta to the tune of heaven knows how many millions of dollars which means Cinquanta the Puppet now has to force Yuna to show up at 4CC so he can wear her out.
Please. This couldn't possibly be true.
Just checked. GPF technical judge was Myriam Loriol-Oberwiler. She will be on the technical panel of the Olympics too. Myriam has a history of downgrading Yuna's jumps, doesn't she? I'm not saying Yuna is perfect because she's not, but I hope Yuna doesn't find out that the Olympics will have the same technical panel because it could play with her mind.
Oh, the results... The applecarts of Yuna, Mao, and Miki are so completely upset with protests, accusations, and interfered-with warm up sessions, that they all screw up their programs, and Joannie, Rachael, and Julia (Sebestyen) step up to the plate while nobody's looking, skate the rafters off the joint, and grab all the medals. How's that?
Hmm.... if Hersh was correct, it may prove that Yuna's Korean fans weren't crazy all along. I mean, he's not even Korean, so why on earth would he write about something that wouldn't technically even benefit him? I did feel that the rivary between Yuna and Mao were quite intense, and Yuna fans were always extremely protective of her. However, I also felt that Yuna was sometimes judged unfairly with overly strict standards as well. I absolutely believe that her edge calls and 3-3 downgrades were completely biased.
From what I understand, Hersh has been around for a while, and why would he go all of sudden insane (like some people say) and write about these conspiracy theories if he didn't feel that there were some truth behind it?

Honestly, if I were Korean, and trutly adored Yuna, I wouldn't even want her to fly all the way to Korea from Canada to attend this meaningless 4CC RIGHT BEFORE THE OLYMPICS. I just can't see the logical reasoning behind all this pressure, and perhaps Korean people should declare to boycott 4CC if KSU and ISU keep pressuring Yuna. lol. Mao herself (And Yukari) should be enough to attract figure fans at 4CC, just as GPF was successful with Yuna without Mao. We don't need this stupid rivary.
Also, I am sorry to hear that the same GPF tech panels will be at the Olympics. Seriously, are they using the same tech who downgraded Yuna's 3-3 and also gave Yuna "e" before?
Yuna's 3-3 and flip are supported by numerous skaters and commentators, and I trutly feel sorry for her.

I saw this on youtube yesterday, and this is a clip of a famous Japanese commentator (Sano Minoru) saying that Yuna's 2009 GPF 3-3 jumps were perfect and everyone he knows believes so. (I think that's what he says, because with my little Japanese experience, I could translate about 80% of what he says, but there was also translation in replies. lol)
Anyway, I really hope ISU stop bothering Yuna already.

I am sorry for my previous words and ITA.
KSU already made a team for 4CC by its own rules. If Yuna were to skate at 4CC, one of that members couldn't make it. Why does Mr.Cinquanta interfere in the internal affairs of KSU? Does he intervene in that of another country and request for another skater?
This is just my own personal opinion and I may be in the minority here, but regardless of how long Hersh has been around, I don't give much credence to what he says. From reading some of his past articles, to me, he is clearly biased towards certain skaters.
