Tim was better - not by much - but enough to win the gold medal in many opinions of spectators who were there.

At this point we must agree to disagree. :agree:

But they were wrong. ;)

I was there, too, Joe. I only recall one mistake by Evgeni, and Goebel also had a mistake. Evgeni had the artistry. He wins.

But, yeah, we can agree to disagree. :)

Do you really worry about that unofficial title? Is it so important?

Joe

Joe, I am hardly worried about who has the title. I was just responding to the question of the thread. I'm sure others have also been dubbed quad kings in their homelands. I'm willing to bet some in Russia call Evgeny the quad king.

He'll be remembered as The Crying Man.

A bigger and greater man, he that cries...

if you mean whining then I don't think so... aside from his "final" comment at nationals he's had a pretty good attitude...

Elvis Stojko is still known as the original Quad King, so I imagine the title will also follow Timothy G. around.

I think Nobunari Oda has took that title away. (I love Tim and Nobunari...well, Nobunari more).
Hey viet - Does Oda do more quads than a quad toe? I'm thinking it's time to see other quads like a quad sal, a quad flip, a quad lutz as well as a quad toe.
