It was completely fitting that ice dancer Ryan O'Meara achieved a lifelong goal in Italy, a country for which he has great affinity. As a member of the U.S. team at the 2006 Olympic Winter Games in Turin, he not only got to compete on Olympic ice, where he and partner Jamie Silverstein finished 16th, but he also got to enjoy the Italian architecture and culture that give him such great inspiration.
