I liked the Polish pair - not perfect, and they still have work to do, but she really presented it well and there some nicely done elements in their program.

The British Eurosport team, as always, have something nice to say about everyone :agree:.

Do they need to eliminate some teams for LP as there're 21 pairs entered the competition. I certainly hope not.

With the first two groups finished, I'm pleasantly surprised be the level of skating. It's nowehere near what we'll see later this evening, but so far the less exprienced teams don't look too bad at all! As a bonus, there's only been one truly ghastly costume choice (the Bulgarians) and even the music choices are pretty good (Pink Floyd seems to be a hit this season).

Can anybody post the scores? There seems to be some glitches to the link, only the first skaters' score was posted. Thanks.

Agreed, the level of European pairs has definitely gone up! The baby Poles and the Brits look promising. Lots of side by side triples being attempted. Only one fall so far, by the Bulgarians.

I agree! I  Pink Floyd's music! How fitting to get the crowds going/rocking at Los Angeles Worlds.

I'm quite surprised by the level of skating, too. I enjoyed all of the programs, not annoying music, not a lot of awkward moments as I expected, it's been pretty good so far.

Can James/Bonheur actually go to Worlds? They're the no. 2 French pair and I don't think France has two slots for LA. I hope they get a ticket, they look lovely on the ice.

ETA: Checked it, and unfortunately only one French pair will go. I'm guessing it'll be Canac/Coia unless they really bomb tonight/tomorrow.
