Up to you. I find that if lifts are well excuted and incorporated into the choreography well, it adds to the overall impact of a programme the way a good jump does for singles and pairs. In particular, I thought V/M's 2007 FD made very good use of lifts.

Ultimately, like Uncle Dick says, Dance is all about the basics - Good edging, body lines, leg extension, carriage, port des bras etc. Lifts are just one of the many things in Ice Dance. It is a highlight no doubt, but not the be all end all.
