I think there hasn't been that much thread about promising boys skaters compared to threads about girls like Gold, Tukt etc.
I know 2014 and 2018 are far off, and with respects to the current crop of skaters anything can happen
I don't know what the future holds for these young skaters but hopefully they will come with age and make a real wave in the sport .
there are of course talented skaters in every country, if you have more pls free to share.
I'll just post promising juniors from 5 countries that has a considerable share in the figure skating world.
time will tell how they will progress from year on.
(USA) Nathan Chen - 13 yrs. old, has been in the spotlight for a while and he has been compared to Chan(Chen) but I think Chen maybe more artistic in the future, he has a full arsenal of triple jumps and fast spinner, has won junior national championships. has not yet competed in jgp
of course there are others like Vincent and many others waiting in the spotlight

(Russia) Alexander Samarin - 13. yrs. old, Samarin has good flows on the ice and spins, also has triple jumps and finished either 1st or 2nd in all novice and local competitions .has done 3A in practice. but he withdrew from 2012 Russian Junior Championships because of he was sick.

(Japan) Shoma Uno - he is small for a 14 yrs. old competed in Youth Olympics and has competed in jgp (After Daisuke may certainly pass on to my favorite Yuzuru Hanyu.) but Shoma has potential but he is still raw and rough on the edges
