This show was aired two days ago on TV Asahi's news and sports communication satellite channel, CS Channel 2. The broadcaster aired the 06/07 evening show, but cut certain parts out due to the time constraint (about 2-hr worth of the whole show which was supposed to run for 2.5-3 hours?). I had a really great time watching this, not only because of the amazing line-up but also the production and entertainment value which is at least better, if not on another level from the other Japanese ice shows I've watched so far, as can be judged from the quality of the costumes, choreography, music choice for the opening and finale numbers (which can probably be attributed to Wilson's involvement) and of course, the amazing and powerful live singing from the guest artist.
Aside from my obvious favorite (Yuzuru), the highlights of the show for me are Stephane's 'Run' (my favorite show number of his this year) and Akiko's programs. Akiko's simply mesmerizing and her commitment to the music is just indescribable. The flourishes here and there that don't look intentionally synchronized to the music but come from within herself as if she was producing the music itself, are totally stupefying. I've been watching her programs non-stop for a while now. Stephane is amazing, as always. Not to mention he also landed a quad toe during the collab Even though he took a long approach before executing the jump, it's really remarkable that he's still going for it.
