The last picture wasn't as facepalm-worthy as the others. If only they de-puffed those sleeves...
I seriously don't get why the men chose curtain drapes as sleeves though.

Not only the puffed sleeeves. Didn't you see the white flowers?! :hopelessness:
I mean white flowers on Grinkov's costume, why?!

What about this: http://cdn.c.photoshelter.com/img-get/I0000bCx.Gn3nsw8/s/860/860/grinkov86gwg-8x10-300.jpg :slink:

and of course, who can forget Kulik's famous yellow giraffe costume. :laugh2:

Oh god, the nostalgia. It was funny though. As you said very interesting times in fashion.

Anissina/Peizerat's Westminster Waltz costumes were  - I also liked Romeo and Juliet and their 2002 OD's costumes
Duchnesays in 'Missing' - I love that program, and it fit the theme so well
Hawayek and Baker's SD costumes last year were nice.
Hurtado/Diaz for last Season's SD - I loved the red gloves - and their FD costumes were great too.
Davis/White's Bollywood, Scheherazade, Giselle, Die Fledermaus, and their 'Rhythm of Love' exhibition
Pechalat/Bourzat's costumes were always offbeat, but their 2008 OD costumes were lovely and I really did like the Petit Prince outfits (though I'm probably the only one)

Tessa Virtue's green FD dress at 2013 Eric Bompard, as well as the last incarnation of the 'Carmen' costume
Penny Coomes... All the time? Last season's SD dress was gorgeous, and so is her FD costume this year.
Elena Ilinykh, also all the time. The worst costumes I remember from her were from 2009, so she has an excuse.
Maia Shibutani always looks so elegant and classy. Her ponytail always works, which is pretty unique.
I actually really like Nelli Zhiganshina's FD dress this season - it just fits the theme of 'Swan Lake Reloaded' so well!

And don't worry, bad costumes are not only limited to the 90's ;)

and the worst-dressed podium I have probably ever seen: http://www.chinadaily.com.cn/english/doc/2006-02/21/xin_550203211018376136813.jpg

I mean... Yikes.

You are not alone, fleeting, I like them too, even the much criticized green tights. To me the costumes expressed perfectly the theme and character of that FD.
I agree with you and Buttercup that P/B often chose eccentric costumes (especially Nathalie), instead of playing it safe (and, gorgeous as they were, they could have easily pulled off a more classical style).
Other than the aforementioned ones, I like their costumes for Tango OD , Latin SD, and even Les Mis FD and Rolling Stones FD

Jamie Silverstein's waltz costume
Oksana Grishuk's quickstep dress
Anna Cappellini's Carmen dress and her early version of last year's free skate costume, & C&L's costumes from their short last season
Denkova/Staviski's waltz OD
Someone--I thought it was Ekaterina Riazanova, but I can't find a photo so I'm not certain--had a gorgeous blue flapper costume with a feathered headband at Skate America one year
Maia Shibutani's purple dress from last year's short dance

Oh my, I forgot Grushina. :laugh2:

What do you wear in a religious-themed number? A sparkly bikini with the top half inspired by L'il Kim's tasseled nightmare (that Diana Ross played with) from the 1999 MTV Video Music Awards. (Yes my memory of horrid celebrity fashion is that long and nearly encyclopedia at this point in my life.) Now excuse me while I attempt to interpret Ride of the Valkyries wearing a purple Slanket with my hair in a scrunchy from 1987.

I loved their Prince outfits. Very cute and very clever.
