kinda sad now that S/B gets to compete in Shanghai whereas Y/J can't

Yeah, I'm sure many will disagree, but I think it's kind of lame. If I were in Y/J's position, of course I'd take the opportunity. But the fact that it's allowed is kind of weird. It feels a bit like the seniors popped in here out of nowhere to "steal" the gold medal. Again, not Y/J's fault at all, and on the other hand it's great that they still get to go to one form of Worlds despite the return of P/T. And hell, for Y/J, it ALSO feels like the seniors popped in out of nowhere, just in their case, it's to "steal" their spot on the World team. A weird situation is all.Y/J were obviously great as well but I'm still against junior teams that have gone to the GPF going to JW.
I thought I would find the russian team more compelling, but their basics are poor as well as their other technical skills. Their lifts look laboured, creativity and artistry is stifled as well. They have a nice twist but other than that meh. I really admire the work of Tamara Moskvina.
Love the top two pairs! S/B seems to have a special warmth to their pairing that I can't help but cheer for them even though I definitely want Y/J to win. Is Julianne going to focus on pairs now? I remember she said she wanted to try doing both around Skate Canada time...is there an update on that front?
