I also agree that they likely won’t cancel as many have already arrived. Also Ted just posted they have begun setup.at this point, I don't think they will cancel... but who knows, right?

And, don’t Matte/Ferland train with them? Have they had it as well?oh lord... if Eric and Vanessa cannot compete, as well as Maxime and Deanna... might as well not watch pairs
they do... but that doesn't mean they got it regarding matte/ferland, I wouldn't say their tech is not as advanced... their SBS jumps are the same as everyone else, and their throws are harder (throw triple lutz) ... their lifts usually get their levels as well... it's just that they are younger and way less stable... so they don't always get good TES scores due to mistakes or not tons of GOE... but I agree with you about their programs. great styling for this team and I would love to see them on the podium. And, don’t Matte/Ferland train with them? i do enjoy Matte/Ferland. Their tech is not as advanced as some, but they have first rate music choices and a nice, gentle vibe that reminds me of Ziegler/Kiefer, who I also like. Podium placement here would be wonderful for them!
It is not better to get it now. You can still test positive in a month, and the Olympics is in 30 days. If their PCR tests are positive, they cannot board the plane and would not be allowed in China.at the same time for James and Radford, better get covid now, then in 2 weeks... they could still be sent to the games and at least hopefully get there safe ... while others may test positive catching it on the trip to China...
that's not what some experts have said : once you get it, it's normal to test positive for weeks even months as there will be left over antibodies in your system... so it's better to get it now, do the mandatory isolation, and then athletes are good to go to compete. Dennis Shapovalov and Rafael Nadal just had covid, and bang, they are right back on the circuit in Australia...It is not better to get it now. Well, that's not the rule book of Beijing Olympics:that's not what some experts have said : once you get it, it's normal to test positive for weeks even months as there will be left over antibodies in your system... so it's better to get it now, do the mandatory isolation, and then athletes are good to go to compete. understood, yet this sport specialist and former olympian suggests the other version of the story...Well, that's not the rule book of Beijing Olympics:

Isn't the article saying the same thing: if you tested positive, you are out of the game. By the current rule book, many eligible athletes might not be able to go.understood, yet this sport specialist and former olympian suggests the other version of the story...

the journalist here suggests that it's best to get it now in the hope that tests will come out negative rather than traveling and getting it on the plane... he is almost suggesting that athletes should have gotten it in december... etc... it's just really confusing to be an athlete and a fan right nowIsn't the article saying the same thing: if you tested positive, you are out of the game. Don't know whether they would bend the rule or postpone as advocated by the article, but for now, PCR postive = no-go.
