I always think of her as Toller Cranston's coach-which shows how long she has been in the coaching game. And as the mother of Petra Burka, ladies world champion, Canadian champion, Olympic bronze medallist, and the first woman to land a triple jump in competition, the triple Salchow.
Wonderful to hear! Thanks for the link. I didn't know she was a survivor. This is a wonderful article, and it's heartening to realize how much she contributed not just to Canadian skating but to men's skating. How providential that she and Toller found each other, because each was the ideal partner for the other. As a Toller Cranston fan, I'm especially thrilled to hear how well she's still doing and that she's being honored this way.
