I searched the forums and tried to find a thread like this, but wasn't able to.

If there is one, feel free to link to it, and I'll copy my post there. Please feel free to delete this if it is a duplicate.

What are your favorite programs or most memorable programs ever?

My picks, in no particular order:

Bourn & Kraatz - Riverdance

Shen & Zhao - Turandot

Nancy Kerrigan - '94 Olympic Neil Diamond program

Sasha Cohen - Malaguena

Rudy Galindo - Swan Lake

Meno & Sand - Nessun Dorma

Bonus - It wasn't a competitive piece, but I loved Sasha Cohen's exhibition version of Romeo and Juliet

Legends of the Fall, Vanessa Gusmeroli, Worlds 2000 at Nice, France. I was there in the arena. HD sound system, HD replay screens. Lighting diffusers. Great low angle camera work at her Lutz entrance which is spectacular, even better than the guys do it. Wonderful acting. 100% of the audience cheering wildly. Wonderful choreography. There once was a you tube from French TV coverage which recreated the moment perfectly. Could watch this over and over again. Now only crappy low res ABC video with annoying commentary through the entire piece. Sad

Plushenko Tribute to Nijinsky at Rus Nat - this program, this skate is for the eternity. The Twitter was full of this video link these days.

from a Yuzuru fan

‏@silviepai https://twitter.com/silviepai/status/967628707035799553

Okay, so confession: I do prefer Plushenko's style over Yuzu's. I think the best figure skate in history is still this:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SEJXkfMYTX4

"He is so gorgeous on ice to look at. The gift from heaven. With his technique and artistry, he stands alone from the rest of figure skaters. Historic figure, legend." :agree:

There are some great choices here! Below are 2 that I'm pretty sure didn't show up on other lists:

Michelle Kwan -- Lyra Angelica 1998
Virtue/Moir -- Mahler Symphony No. 5 2010

IMO, Michelle's Lyra at the '98 US Nationals was one of those transcendent moments that all performers hope for but rarely achieve. Same for Scott & Tessa in Vancouver -- before then, it never occurred to me to think of any ice dance team on a level with Torvill & Dean. Both performances had a kind of beauty and emotional depth that can't easily be expressed in words. So glad that they're available on YouTube & other videos for all of us to enjoy!

Klimova & Ponomarenko's exhibition to "Don Quixote". It still stands out in my memory after all these years. A jewel. From 1986, I believe.
