Since the host country of upcoming olympic, KSU(Korean federation) announced new rules(This URL is the original document on the KSU homepage) about their own ways to pick skaters to qualify olympics, I am going to translate it in here.
There will be 3 times of qualifying competition toward olympics, and the TOTAL SUM of those competitions' scores are going to be the indicator of selection.
Since there are only two tickets for the ladies, so other disciplines have to go to Nebelhorn, and the skaters to go Nebelhorn will be selected based on the results of first qualifying competition.
1st qualifying competition will be held on July. This competition will held together with Junior grand prix qualifying events, and skaters who are age-eligible for both Olympics and JGP have to select ONE, when they are entering the entry.(EXCEPT: Ice dance couples and Pairs can be selected to be JGP as long as they are age-eligible, even if they choose olympic qualifying events. This is for gaining the points for participating team events at 2018 Pyeongchang.) 24 skaters will be advanced to the free skating after short program.
NOTE: The winners of this competition will be selected as Nebelhorn representatives. If they refuse to go Nebelhorn, then they cannot participate the rest of the qualifying competitions.
2nd qualifying competition will be Ranking competition (which usually held on October). There will be cut off after short program.
3rd qualifying competition will be Korean Nationals (which usually held on January, but this time they can move this to earlier due to olympics.) There will be cut off after short program.
NOTE: Skaters who want to go to olympics should gain the minimum TES before entering the 3rd qualifying competition.
