Scoring question

Hi guys, could somebody help me out here with a rule/scoring question? Maybe I'm overlooking something obvious, but I just can't figure out why the 3Lo in this men's singles FS layout would be called an invalid element. Shouldn't it just be 3Lo+COMBO? The actual jump performed was a 3Lo with a very bad, double-footed landing.

He didn't do any Axel-type jump, which is required. In the case it's missing, the last jump is always invalidated, as it was done here. It happens from time to time, but it's not that common either.

I am guessing it may happen more often if some skaters decide to only use the axel as the second or third part of a combo and simply don't manage to transform the combo after an iffy first jump...( X + A)
