The new radiation screening of full body may cause cancer. I would suggest taking an overdose of Vitamin C before heading to the airport. Mind you, I am not a doctor, just an old bloke who reads a lot about nutrition. A male Suzanne Sommers.

The radiation that is emitted will be in small doses. Found this article:

The Canadian airports are installing scanners that use radio wave technology (which doesn't use radiation). In Canada, you can also choice to have a manual pat down instead of the scanner, too. However, some scanners in the States use x-ray technology.

Sounds as if there will be further research into it but doesn't sound like there is much need for concern over it.
