With the Ladies, I was torn. I wanted to go purely with my heart. But that would mean putting Medvedeva in 6th. And I know fine well that she is going to win.

So, to limit the damage, I put her in 3rd position.

Anna Pogo was another problem. With both her GP’s, I wanted her to win, but I was worried that putting her top of my predictions would jinx her. So, I put her second. And this reverse psychology worked perfectly. But, this time, I am putting her top in my predictions.

The thing that really pained me, though, was putting Maria Sotskova at the bottom. I really like that girl. As I said before, she was my favourite Russian Junior of the past few seasons. But, impressive though she has been in her Senior GP’s, I think the others will be ahead of her.

Under normal circumstances, I would have had no hesitation in putting Yuzu at the top. But, he hasn’t looked himself in his two GP’s. He has looked vulnerable, and that is something that we are not used to.

Quite frankly, I have been more impressed with Javi and Patrick. So, I am going to take a big risk and put both of them in front of Yuzu.

I know this is going to backfire big time, but hey!

With Pairs, I was tempted to put down a Chinese 1-2. But, because I was taking a big risk with the Men, I decided not to with the Pairs. So, I put Megan and Eric on top.

The big debate was what order to put the remaining three couples.

Over the past couple of seasons, I have made no secret that I have never been convinced by Seguin / Bilodeau. But they have been really impressive this season. To the extent that I think I have been converted to their cause.

The thing that pained me about putting them into 4th was that it meant that the two Russian couples were at the bottom. I couldn’t decide which way around to put them. So, I went with the more established couple.

Dance was the easiest of the lot. I knew exactly what order I was putting them in without any hesitation.

I know. Putting the couple that are top of both the World Standings and the World Rankings into bottom position!

That's the problem with having such a small but such a quality field. You always have to put somebody that is good in last position.

And, unfortunately, the two Madisons and their partners are propping up the field in my predictions.

I like both routines from both couples. But, I slightly prefer Hubbell / Donohue. And that was the deciding factor.

I am scoring final GP ladies. I would like that new records are set during this competition. Well, there are at least 2 records already. Alina Zagitova is the first junior lady to break 70 in SP. And the second record is that I set my both season's and personal best having pasted 135 predictions into the spreadsheet in just 40 minutes. It took me 2 hours last year when I just started. And I was quite happy when I managed it for less than an hour. And now 40 minutes! To achieve that I changed the technology several times through process reengineering. May be it's possible to break 30 minutes but it will require yet another technology.

What do we have here? The most popular prediction is:

If it happens, 14 people will have perfect 240 score. The average score will be 152. I am glad that 35 people predict Russian sweep in senior ladies. But I myself is not that optimistic. And if the most popular prediction holds I will get just 140 points.

One more thing - the user narsissa posted 2 different predictions. There is sort of a disclaimer that the first one does not hold. So that I will use the second one. BTW it will get 240 if the most popular prediction comes true. The first prediction would bring only 120. Let's see what the reality is.
