The rest were kept in absolute PB order. Sorry karne! (Hope Brendan finishes higher!)

....

9. Timothy DOLENSKY, USA
10. Brendan KERRY, AUS

But CaroLiza_fan, I think you got it wrong anyway! Brendan scored 220-something at SLC and I'm pretty sure his PB is now higher than Timothy's!

Very good, Jagger. Very good.

 :cheer:   :party2:

:points: for originality.

But CaroLiza_fan, I think you got it wrong anyway! Brendan scored 220-something at SLC and I'm pretty sure his PB is now higher than Timothy's!

As you know, I use Stats On Ice for my research. And the absolute PB that Curran Oi has for Brendan is 222.40, from when he was 4th in last month's US International Classic.

HOWEVER, Tim's absolute PB is given as 236.13 from when he was 7th in January's US Nationals.

But, as I said, I do hope Brendan does better.

By the way, if anybody is wondering where the spreadsheet is, I decided to wait until after competition had started before making it out. For the simple reason that it is easier to put the names of all the players in at once.

Don't worry, it will appear well before today's skating starts. Probably this afternoon, at some stage between the end of the Alpine skiing and the start of the F1 qualifying!

Alex D, most of your predicitons are invalid. The rules are clear that you need to write last names. Just first names or nicknames are not allowed.

Wow!!!

It is just as well that I decided to wait until everybody had posted their Skate America predictions before I uploaded the spreadsheet.

I normally have the formatting extending to 140 rows. But already, after just the first round, the 2016 Senior GP Predictions Game has...

152 players!!! :jaw: :jaw: :jaw:

I knew the Senior GP Game was popular, but I would never have expected that we would get this many players.

Thank goodness I waited, because it would have been a nightmare to edit the formatting outside of Excel. :drama:

Anyway, if you want to view the spreadsheet, it can be found here:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1D7RreM9U5WWqygxrkZnKrj11fORdcMfxFEvxZ9-2uag/edit?usp=sharing

Hopefully you will like the numbers that get put into it over the next couple of months! ;)

:cheer: GOOD LUCK EVERYBODY!!! :cheer:

Oh I see, I only checked the deadline which was like a few minutes away, so I just posted some names and I tend to always write the first name, so I kept that routine except for dance. But ya, no worries, I can try next season again, my fault so no hard feelings, thanks for letting me know though!

Well, your Ice Dance predictions are okay :) Last season I had very low score for Skate America, but still managed to get 3rd overall after GPF, so don't give up! There are 6 more events ;)

Mariah and Denney/Frazier have blown my predictions to smithereens but I don't care because I am so happy for them.

Well, no offence to Curran, but it's kinda wrong that he includes Nationals scores in his database, since they don't count in ISU terms.

Well, no offence to Curran, but it's kinda wrong that he includes Nationals scores in his database, since they don't count in ISU terms.

Curran has separate PB tables for ISU and non-ISU competitions.

It is me that always work in terms of the absolute PB.

I know, it is dangerous doing that because of the possibility of "national inflation". But, hey. It's a chance I'm willing to take. (Plus, when the absolute PB is from a domestic competition, I normally look through all their other scores to see if this is an abnormally high score for them. And then take a different approach if it is).

And anyway, when you have somebody that has never competed in an ISU competition before, domestic competitions are all you can go on.

Look at Zagitova. Never done an international competition before she arrived at this season's opening Junior Grand Prix. So, nothing to go on on her ISU bio. I find her profile on fskate.ru, and see that she has monster scores in domestic competitions. So, I put her top of my predictions. Lo and behold, she comes out and wins the competition by a massive margin (15 and a half points).

Admittedly, this is a different situation. But, when there is not much separating skaters in their ISU PB's (as was the case with Brendan and Tim), looking at what they have scored elsewhere can be useful.

As much as I would love to be the sole winner.... I counted myself at only 50 points :slink: Am I wrong? Someone tell me I'm wrong...
