I've watched it only partially yet - but yes, mostly there are the same things which were already told in the previous documentary.
I'll try to render the highlights of it tomorrow, if I have time...

Thank you so much. We all appreciate it a lot. Don't hurry! :agree2:

Well, here is the translation of the first part :)
https://www.facebook.com/evellize.lucas/videos/o.167887039896560/1038170109555715/?type=2&theater

In the beginning it is said that it was not easy for Maxim, straightforward and having his own point of view on any subject, to fit into the authoritarian world of figure skating, but Nina Mozer was not frightened off by his character. She says that once she told him "Am I trying to change you? I accept you as you are." She says that Max is an interesting and emotional person, and it's as interesting for Nina to work with him as well as with Tatiana, who is very calm and level-headed. And Max says that all his previous coaches tried to make something else of him, what they preferred to see, but Nina told them "In some sense you have more experience than me, I'm learning from you, too." And, as Max says, they were learning together, working together, moving ahead together.

The pair was created back in May 2010. Nina Mozer has a deep knowledge of the theory of figure skating, and she understood and calculated at once, how to use the strong points of the pair properly, how to balance the working loads most effectively in order to achieve the result. And Tanya and Max were working eagerly, too, and the initial wariness of the members of the new team towards each other was clearing away quickly.

-----------------

Here there is a kind of question-and-answer game, when Mozer was asked some questions about Tanya and Max, and then they were asked the same questions, too.

"Whom did they want to be in future when they were kids?"
Mozer: "Champions, I think"
Max: "I wanted to be an artist".
Tanya: "A ballerina. I was thinking about ballet at that time".

"When do they get up?"
Mozer: "If they have such an opportunity they sleep as much as they can... As they have the first training at 10:30, I think they get up at about 9:30."
Max: "It differs".
Tanya: "It depends on when we have the first training".

"What are they reading at the moment?"
Mozer: "Max reads a lot of books, he is a book-lover. I've given him a book "The Dancer" by Rudolf Nuriev."
Max: "The Notes of a Doctor from Shanghai" by Viktor Smolnikov."
Tanya: "The same."
Max: "Yeah, we're reading the same book. I had been reading the book "The Dancer" by Rudolf Nuriev, and I finished it while we were flying somewhere, so I borrowed Tanya's book".

"Do they like sweet dishes?"
Mozer: "Tanya is crunching candies all the time, and she likes everything which is sweet. Max doesn't like sweet at all."
Max: "I don't like sweet"
Tanya: "I like cakes. And baked foods."

"Have they ever tried to smoke?"
Mozer: "I think that at some moment of their lives they tried to try everything, as almost all people do, but the main thing is, that it never became a habit."
Max: "Of course, we tried" Tanya said nothing (so it's not quite clear, if it refers only to Max or to them both).

------------------------------------------

At the Olympics in Vancouver, for the first time in 46 years, Russian pair skaters not only missed the gold, but didn't even get to the podium. There were many alarmed comments and discussions about the crisis in the Russian figure skating. With only four years to go to the Olympics in Sochi, Russia had not a single pair which seemed capable to claim the gold.

When Tanya and Max were getting ready to their first season as a new pair, they were getting a lot of criticism from various fs specialists, especially Nina Mozer was criticized, because no one believed that she could coach a top pair. Maxim recollects how they were constantly advised at that time that they should change coach, that many people kept writing smth like "the pair is really good, but there will be no use with such a coach".

Their first important competition were the Russian Nationals in December 2010 - and all the specialists and the audience were amazed to see a pair, which was already so gelled for such a short time together, and which already looked like a pair of the world class. Max says that they were happy about this win, and Tanya was especially happy and emotional, because it meant so much for her, that all the changes in her life, that he had moved to Russia, changed citizenship and all, were not in vain; and for him this competition is memorable, because for the first time he didn't feel tired after the free program; and in Nina Mozer's career it was the first such a serious win of her skaters. Tanya says, too, that she was very happy, and that that gold was about as dear to her, as a win at the Euros or at the Worlds.

Then there can be heard a bit of TAT's comment (she was commenting the 2010-11 Nationals back then) "I congratulate you all on the birth of such an amazing new pair! This pair is quite capable of winning Euros, or Worlds, or Olympics".

Together with Tanya, and Max, and Nina Mozer (tells the narrator) this victory was celebrated by another very important member of their team - Stanislav Morozov. He had been Tatiana's previous partner, and he was her boyfriend at that time.

Stas Morozov recollects that when after Vancouver he phoned to Maxim, Maxim told him that he was finishing, that he was tired of figure skating and was not going to skate any more, but when he suggested him to skate with Tatiana, Maxim was eager at once and said "ok, ok, if it's about skating with Tatiana, I will!"

Tanya says that they had been together with Stas for 8 years, but then there came a moment when she realized that she was no more in love with Stas, and that their relations had no future, though it was a hard decision for both of them. All this was made even more complicated by them working together, and she wished that they continued to work together. Mozer says that at some moment Stas was honest with her and said that he would overcome it and get over it. He stayed in the team, and together with Nina Mozer he continues to work at the technical aspect of Tanya and Max's skating. They all have remained on good and friendly terms.

Max says that at that time he wasn't attracted by Tanya as a woman, and that he wouldn't imagine at that time that they would end up together; and he jokes that she must've charmed him with some magic - or, maybe, with her borsch.

After breaking up with their previous life partners, they were alone for a long time. At that time Max believed that it's not right to mix the personal and the working relations. Tanya admits that it was her initiative, and Max later felt that if they were getting along so well together and were feeling so happy and comfortable together, then why not.

They were asked how they imagine themselves when they're 50. Max said that most likely he would be working at the rink (as a coach or choreographer - he didn't specify), and Tanya would be taking care of children. Tanya said that she thinks she would half-time do smth at the rink, and do things at home. She said that she guesses they would have two children. She said that she doesn't think, though, that she would be a coach. Max prompted that maybe a manager, because she is really good at organizing things.

My, my, my, Borzaya, this is really quite extraordinary! Indeed there are some scraps of information that I thought all of them would avoid!! Especially Tanya falling out of love with Stas – and even more, that Tanya made the first move toward Max!!! I’m floored. Wow – I didn’t see THAT coming. None of them look like they are re-shaping the truth which is pretty rare these days. I’m not fainting over Max’s comment that Tanya will probably stay home and look after the children. However, as Tanya notes, she’s capable of raising children AND some professional involvement….

Thank you, Borzaya. This must have taken at few hours. I think we have to award you a special medal…

Separately, I watched a lot of the Cup of China skating on You Tube this past weekend. Lots of skaters falling this year, but lots of good skating too. While we know who our favorite pairs team is, I was happy for Kavaguti & Smirnov that they skated well. They made up for a very disappointing season last year.

Thank you so much for your translations Borzaya, fantastic as always! :2thumbs:

Looks like V and T have won the short program -- leading with a score of 74.50 -- if I'm reading the site properly.

Yes, V/T got score of 74.50, followed by Vanessa JAMES / Morgan CIPRES at 65.75.
T/M came in 6th place, poor them.

And I'm going to watch Peng and Zhang later on You tube. I like them too but looks l like they didn't have a great skate....

Oh, and I don’t know if my computer at work drank too much coffee, but V and T seem to be skating like rockets! Their skating is already among the fastest of anyone, but they were REALLY flying. I’m going to watch it again at home tonight and see if the speed is as great as I think it is….

And I can’t wait until the long program tomorrow!

They didn't seem quite like rockets on TV. But on TV everyone always seems slower than on computer, especially if you are used to watching figure skating competitions on computer a lot.

I was wondering too if it was just the camera angles, because they do look slower (still fast, but slower than I'm used to seeing them) on video; however, they've got great transitions so maybe that's slowing them down. Highest SP and PCS so far this season! :hap10: Max is very into this program!

It looks like the Free Skate is cancelled by the French Authorities cause of the Paris attacks, I thought this would happen cause I have a friend there and they've put the city on lockdown. Im just really glad they're keeping everyone's safety in mind, my thoughts are with everyone in Paris right now.

Oh, dear. I'm not surprised. Have they stated how they will handle the free skate? Will they continue the competition another time? The whole thing is so terrifying. Just horrible.
