But if the admin reads it maybe they will go huh?

For someone who is curious about Yumi Matsutoya who wrote and sings "Haru yo koi", here is Wiki in English.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yumi_Matsutoya

As Wiki says, she has idiosyncratic voice so I have to say it depends on your preference to like her or not as a singer, but I always think she is a great song writer. She can write from slow ballad with delicate lyrics to the upbeat dance number with unique words, and some of them are even in the music textbook at school. She has made many songs for other singers and artists, too. [/url]

That's true. My emotion was from the lyrics, certainly not her voice as a singer. The music sounds pretty good though.

Actually I have a soft spot for a fraction of classical/good old-fashioned (?) wording like this song :).

(For the similar reason, I'm always impressed his smart but thoughtful language at press conference in general.

Returning from long hiatus as a FS fan, I was watching clips and reading articles mostly in foreign languages, and my impression of "Hanyu-senshu" was ... how should I say? ... an enigma? ... sometimes a little bit odd and childish, a true mystery ;).

But at a press conference, he was speaking good Japanese with his intelligence and sensibility, carefully choosing words. It made his personality fairly understandable and imaginable for a listener. It was his language astounded me, then changed his image 180 degrees .)

Yep. Yuzu has to make the greatest amount of points that he can in Finland and Russia to make the top 6 and qualify :)

Also icenetwork's "30 Biggest Stories of the Icenetwork Era" Top 3. I don't care about the list/ranking. I'm just posting it for the Yuzu MEME in the comment section, especially under 3 and 2.

No. 3 - The rock star status of Yuzuru Hanyu.

Do you still hate it here? Is it me or just the pic? Looks slightly different...

I don't like deep V necks at all and the frills on his sleeves are so disturbing. I dislike most of his ex costumes but it's just my personal taste. There are too much feathers, blings, flowers and frills. For me it is much too much, especially Swan, Requiem, and Final Time Traveller (I also hate the very long sleeves of the latter). I apologize if my mindset is different from most of Hanyu fans and I appreciate that I can express my opinion even if I am in the minority :)

Nothing wrong with having your own taste.

I will say, love him and most of his costumes though I do, his taste in music and mine... err, let's just say sometimes not a happy match. I adore the music for Seimei and Chopin and Requiem and H&L with all my heart, but Il Divo? - the only reason I will not run screaming is because Yuzu managed to get Notte under my mental block (and even then, I like to overlay Saint-Saens when I watch). And do NOT get me started on POTO in any shape or form, especially the version he used.

I am also a huge nonfan of the Japanese pop music at the ice shows... or anywhere else, for the most part. Nothing wrong with it, just it and me don't seem to belong in the same universe.

Buuutt.... I love Yuzuru, and that makes all the difference. There are skaters whose music choices chime perfectly with my taste, and are good skaters, and I would still rather watch POTO or Notre Dame at full volume than their routines.

It speaks to Yuzu's strong magnetic pull that you are able to be a fan of him, even when he terrorizes you with his gala costumes every year.
Can you switch fandoms over the show-season? You can be a Nathan fan over the off-season, and a Yuzu fan during competitions. ;):p

I don't say I'm a fan of J-pop rather I find Japanese a miraculously pleasing language for songs. Maybe too old for this but I still enjoy lots of anime songs so I don't mind him skating to Japanese songs

What I recently found so strange was his taste in anime and manga. When he mentions "Tokyo Ghoul" and you do a research and find summaries like "Ghouls are a new species that feed from humans" you think it's some kind of horror anime. Then you check it out and you are :eeking::shocked::noshake:

To be fair Yuzu just mentioned that he watches TG, now it's more Evgenia that keeps advertising about it in twitter all the time and tempts me to unfollow her.

Noooooo....I added the extra emoji's so you would know it's a joke. Don't go.

But at the same time, if I were the kind of person that could easily switch fandoms, it might be easier on my heart. Then I could be genuinely pleased whoever won a competition. Alas, I'm not that evolved yet.

Thank you :luv17:

Back to Yuzu I have to add that I like the versatility of his character; the fact that he knows so many aspects of his character and embraces them all. He is a harmonic combination of cuteness and cruelty. The fact that he can balance them out and control them is amazing and that is the main reason that I adore him :)

I am excited for the new season.
We can expect Yuzu to do his best as always.
I randomly see some comments in sns that he might be avoiding Nathan.
Well whether it be true or not, Yuzu is a tactician too in the sport.

And if they both qualify for GP Final, wouldn't the excitement be better? (Where I am at the side wanting Yuzu to win )
That aside just as much as I wanted NHK cause its more accessible for me.
If Russia and Finland will result to lesser stress for him then I am for it.
There is still World's Saitama to look forward too.

Pretty sure Notte Stellata by Il Divo was on the CD Tatiana Tarasova gave him in Boston. She said she gave him a CD of music she’d like him to skate to and *bam* next season we get The Swan. So if anything it’s probably Tarasova’s taste you have to question ;).
