Why do you say that? A Bronze and i think she's in.
I feel Ashley does deserve the highest PCS. She is the most mature out of all the ladies, but I was expecting Yulia to get higher due to her reputation. Oh well, I guess the Olympics are really over and everything is on the same level for everyone...
I think Gracie would have the better chance at 70 clean. More speed and better spins.
... and placed 6th in TES. Lena, Yulia, Maria A, Mae and even Courtney surpassed her there. The PCS saved the day for her.
Only with a silver, but she would need a perfect skate and a botched skate for lipnitskaya.

Holy crap they actually judged Lipnitskaia decently. I for sure thought they would give her like 34 PCS.
Let's be real here... Radionova and Lipnitskaia were about on par in terms of how they presented their programs... Julia's slightly more artistic (as the PCS reflected)... IMO Radionova had more fire and attack though. They both had excellent spins with about the same GOE (Lip's spins have been sharper in the past though). Radionova had a 3Z+3T to Julia's 3T+3T.
So a slight lead over Lipnitskaia makes sense, and neither of them deserved 70 points for their SP so I don't think anyone should be up in arms at this result.

I THOUGHT so- a Bronze for her ticket. And unless she implodes a Bronze seems likely...
With a bronze she'd be ahead of Hongo in the qualification standings, so she's got a decent shot at making it into the GPF.

Thought Ashley's 3-3 looked more solid that SC - at least there was not two-foot landing. But I remember her saying in her TSL interview that she tends to do a 'cabaret kick' or something out of the flip; and that a solid 3-3 just wasn't going to happen like that, I saw the 'kick' I think. Though I think it wasn't as noticeably underrotated as some other attempts. The loop had a slightly insecure landing but it looked mostly around to me, so UR on that is rather strict I think. But the 2A looked dodgy (is why I don't get she keeps going for the 2A-3T - I think her 3F-3T has more potential...), but she didn't get any UR there. And yes, at SC I liked the program, this time I thought it wasn't working as well. Not sure why.
Also ETA after reading the protocols; she lost levels being rushed on the final spin (how come she was behind on her music?)! Frustrating to see her lose points that way.
I loved Elena's very well pronounced "Merci" to the people in the audience! Sweet girl to learn a word of French for this event
I think she has a lot of charisma even if I don't like her style of movement. I would prefer to see her on top rather than Lipnitskaia, who for some reason always looks a little... I don't know, angry?
