Recent video of Elizaveta Tuktamysheva practising 3A

Wow. That's as clean as they come. Could you imagine if she started whipping these off in competition? My only fear is that is could become an achilles heel if she actually legit trained them, but she on such an upswing right now I suppose it couldn't hurt to just see how far she can go.

Amazing. I don't think I've ever seen a skater use their arms so little as she does to get in the air. She is the most naturally gifted jumper in the ladies event today.

I'd like to think that not making the Russian Olympic team was like an epiphany for Liza. She's not messing around.

That is reminiscent of Harding's and Ito's?
Some people needs to rewatch the 3As by Ito and Harding.

It's better than Harding's. Harding's was almost always tilted in the air (which was probably why she struggled to land it). Size isn't everything.

Midori's 3A is unmatched, of course. But Liza's ease and flow are excellent. Instead of comparing it to Ito or Harding, I actually see more similarities to Yuna's jumps: how they seem to float in the air, and the softness + control on the landing.

She controls this jump better than any female before her. Her tightness in the air is unmatched. Great flow coming out, she really is a technical marvel!

Right, the technical purity, the height, the attack, speed, power, ice coverage are automatically dismissed by you, just because she isn't Ito or Harding.

Love how she drives into the jumps with her hips, not her arms, though she is probably more powerful in the upper body than we realize. Not surprising from someone who can do a tano 2a from basically a standstill. The scale, combined with a tight leg position(Tonya looked tilted and Ito had that figure 4 leg wrap)- for me, it's the best looking 3a ever from a lady. Really hoping the best for her!

Beautiful. It will be impressive if she is capable of do it in competition.

Liza even makes it look easy. Can't wait to see it at competitions!
I hope she won't get injured, and I wish 3A had more BV in ladies and hope ISU won't penalize falls too much (Am I too demanding?).
I wasn't very sure about some people saying 3A and quads will be common among ladies in peongchang, but now I think Liza can be the trigger. Good luck, Liza! :cheer:

If she can pull it off in competition then we might just be looking at the best 3A jumper ever, of course Ito was amazing and explosive but Liza doesn't have the leg wrap and I find that as powerful as she is, there's just this lightness and ease to her jumps that I enjoy more, like Sandpiper said, it's more reminiscent of Yuna Kim
