Elena Ilinykh & Ruslan Zhiganshin

Me neither, but there is one thing I can imagine and I'm sure of it. Their interpretation will rock!
That much I already know!

I am thinking, fresh, light, whimsical, cheeky with great SS; soft power, great speed, gorgeous wide deep long edges, great lilting action. Just curious about costumes. Will they both be playing rock stars or will Lena be playing the rock star to Ruslan's normal, cool dude. This promises to be really fun.

They both will be rock stars and their costumes will have a very modern look. That my guess. With their skating skills, the SD will be delightful.

It seems to me that the title is misleading and she's also not quoted correctly.

This was from the original article:

Q: Media often names you among sexiest and hottest athletes of the world. Do you consder yourself a sex-symbol? Does it help you?
A: I don't follow everything that is written in media, I simply haven't got time. Sometimes fans tell me that I won some poll or something. It's very flattering, of course, but I definitely don't think of myself as a sex symbol of any kind. Antonio Najarro told me once when we were choreographing "Frida": "Lena, you are super sexy, and Frida was anti-sexy. Lets try and learn to be anti". So the goal for the new season was set. We, of course, got a good laugh out of it. And Antonio spent some more time explaining what constituted the sexuality of my character. You will be able to judge it worked out or not.

Hi, I am sorry if my articles on ifigureskating.com annoys you. It is not an intention!! I am trying to bring up something in English usually what is not translated from Russian or Japanese. I usually spend quite lot of time with translating and making an article out of it, so I would not say I dont work on it at all ;)

And of course Elena was joking, the same way it was in the quote I have posted in the article. The headline was very similar to what the original article had.

Oh puhlease, we shouldn't take these things so literally. We all know that this isn't the original article. Besides which the comments on facebook seem to indicate that most readers took the whole thing in jest :)

I thought this was TSL actually. :hopelessness: I follow your website, and you on twitter. :)
Since I read the original interview I didn't pay too much notice at first, but some on FB thought she was speaking about herself and not in relation to her character as Frida, regarding that "anti-sexy" quote.
Anyway, it's silly stuff. Don't worry. I hope you'll post more often here.

That ifigureskating site really annoys me, it just takes interviews that other people have done and cuts them up & misrepresents it to make content for their own site without having to do any actual work. ...

Definitely not the first case of misrepresentation on that site. It's the misrepresentation part that annoys me.

Thank you! I am happy to hear that :)...

Can you please give me the example of other misrepresentation in other article? So I pay better attention to it next time and can avoid it? :)

We discussed it at the time in your promotional thread in Share It.
It was putting Phillip Mills' words from a previous season into Max Aaron's mouth.
After I complained about this misrepresentation, you explained that it was an honest mistake and made a correction.

I'm glad that you made the correction, but the original misrepresentation was egregious. Good for you if others enjoy your blog, but I'll never be able to trust whether anything there is accurate or not.

I remember now. Yes, it was completely my fault ;)...and I understand from your point of view, I would probably feel similar. Trust me, I am trying to eliminate the mistakes but sometimes it happens ;)

Anyway, let's move on, this is not what this thread is about :)...

to change the topic,...guys! I think Elena should go for the "little moustache" as Frida had in their new free dance, what do you think?? It would be super original and I am sure everyone would remember that!:)

I had click a link on Twitter and read the article which was a fine article. I never saw the title. I saw it on TSL and even I poke jest on it. Elena is gorgeous and very sexy and I never think she should turn it off. Hell she'll give Frida character traits she never had! Lol!

I think that's not a good idea. She isn't doing a movie or an exhibition program.
Getting into the role is fine and you can play with the costume and the hair, but overdoing it I'm afraid it will look like a caricature.

I agree with this. I am very interested to see what kind of costume they do. I though last seasons dresses to be lovely despite the cut of the dress. I hope they put her in bold colors this year.

Colour, I want to see bold bright colours for Frida, yup.

I would also like a head piece!
Yes, flowers!
I remember that Salma Hayek said, that the make up artists tried to do the moustache for Frida, but that they failed, it never looked real, so she had to grow a little moustache for the movie. And that moustache wasn't impressive so I think Elena can do without :)
