Alina Zagitova

Ohh Scott .. I think that grandmother will take care of a dog , Alina , like all teenager do not understand clearly that the dog should be given a very long hours ,
I have a same situation - I have two Main Coon cats , my daugters promised to take care of them and what do you think ? Now its my job -feed them ,
clean up the cat sh..t ))) this is big cats , 9 kg each , a lot of cat sh..t everyday ))

The oldest trick in the book is to tell your parents you're going to take care of the dog or the cat or dogs or cats. Lol! My 2 older sisters and I a very very long time ago when we were under 10 years old swore to our parents we would take care of our Alaskan Malamute puppy if we adopted her. My father of course took most care of her and walked her religiously for about 12 years. But we helped sometimes. ;)

Maincoon cats are nice looking. Is Alinas furry and fat cat a maincoon?

:agree:

If you look at the other side - your father should be grateful to you - fresh air, walks :)

We have a Maine Coon too, ours is very noisy, can't shut that cat up. But at least I got the kids to clean the litter box, with the added plus of listening to them fight about whose turn it is to do it every single time.

Alina looks like an engaged pet owner, we have seen videos (like the first Japanese visit to her house, and one of the periscopes) where she handles the chinchillas and even feeds them. The cage looks super clean too. I know her Grandma plays a big role in this, probably cleans and cares for the pets too, but since Alina likes animals so much I hope that at least when she is around she does the bulk of the work.

Iriska is an older cat, seems very calm, hope she can inspire Masaru with her calmness.

Maincoon - a lot of fun and lot of :handw::laugh:

I hope Alina will give all her free time and attention to Masaru , she is a good girl

I’m on this ship!!

Now they have to bring the TV show to Moscow, I want to see Masaru’s Russian presentation and Alina with her dog.

I’m sure they’ll make it happen since they already showed the dog on TV in Japan, and video message from Alina.

Here they mention that Masaru will be presented to Alina no May 31st https://www.instagram.com/p/BiTg0QWDsTL, and on this other post they mention that it will be at an Ice Rink per Alina's request https://www.instagram.com/p/BiTn9HsjpdP.

I'm imagining a ceremony at Sambo 70, no Prime Minister but plenty of TV cameras. Masaru is already a TV Star.

Masaru is a TV Star and a celebrity is her own right already.

This lovely little boy did a video diary of his run at the Akita Dog Show and he showed Masaru being presented to the people attending the show, they had a nice set up with Japanese and Russian flags, how kind of them. Loads of people taking pictures and making video and plenty of TV cameras around, so now I'm sure we will get video of Alina meeting Masaru in Russia (rumored to be on May 31st at an Ice Rink).

Boy's video, already set to start at Masaru's presentation to the people attending the dog show, her little brother that's being presented alongside her is going to be the city mascot.

Maseru is going to have her own fandom and will need her own social media accounts! I expect her to become Sambo 70's official mascot and I'm hoping for appearances in the kiss&cry at competions ;)

I'm sure Alina is going to cherish this dog with all of her heart and take care of her like the treasure she is. For Alina this is possibly the best 'material' thing to come out of her winning the OG. A dream come true!

Yes there will be poop. There is always poop. But I hope that will be considered a small price to pay for finally getting her beloved dog.

Alina will never be alone in the park again on a beautiful day :)

As you already know, finally Masaru was shown to the public!

Masaru is the one on the right. The other puppy is her brother "Shoudai(勝大)" born in the same day.
The couple holding the puppies are their breeder.
The Akitainu Preservation Society explained that Masaru is outstandingly beautiful and has a very friendly character.
They said they are going to help Alina in taking care of Masaru through their branch office in Moscow!

Someone on twitter pointed out that Masaru just had her own press conference!

Very glad that she is going have continuing assistance from the breeders and local Akita specialists.

Your first paragraph would upset Irska! LMAO! your last sentence of the third paragraph is very interesting this means Alina Zagitova when she's in the park with her dog will always have to have some plastic bags with her too for the doo. Seriously if this dogs makes Alina happy then I'm happy because when this little beauty is beaming the world is a better place.

I edited for clarity :hslap:

And all apologies to Iriska

Yes grandma. Lol! I hope they get a bigger apartment or rent a house with a big backyard so the dog can have a real life and a backyard to play and and poop in if you will. Cute puppy though.
Get her some skates (2 pairs obviously) and Alina can "walk" Masaru while she is training :cool2:

She can also protect Alina from "BIG SCARY ETERI"!!!!

And yet parents (and grandmothers in this case) keep falling for this line every day!

That would be PLAN A. In PLAN B the CLAWS may need to come out :angry2:

Welcome back Waran!

That is wonderful that they will be keeping in touch with Alina to help her

Masaru being "outstandingly beautiful" and "friendly" means that she already has two things in common with Alina:love:

Alinka promises to walk and play with Masaru, like with a best friend :luv17:
That is the sweetest thing.

Imagine all of this is happening because she happened to mention in an interview that she became interested in Akitas after reading about them in a magazine while training for the Olympics in Japan.

Also I just noticed on her own instagram account she has a photo of herself holding a picture of Masaru (instagram stories page)
