Alina Zagitova

Taking a betting pool: how many people think she’ll meet Masaru in private today?

I say yes, she won’t wait until the official event to see the dog for the first time.

She’s so looking forward to it and they are in the same city, of course she won’t get the dog handed out to her before the event, but they can meet, right?

I would say yes too...maybe not today because it's already pretty late, but tomorrow they could have an off-stage meeting

I don't think so))

I was thinking the same thing - especially so they can get aquainted with each other.

Masaru seems pretty "relaxed" but the ceremony tommorrow could still be a little stressful to her.

Alina will be a familiar face to her by that time.

I’m not that up to date on game theory, but I’m not understanding how uniting causes this to be a non-zero-sum game. For the individual countries and the coach, this is in their best interest. But ask Zhenya how she feels about it.

And how would Zhenya feel about missing the podium completely? If both she and Alina went for a greater risk, the chance to win the gold would have decreased for both of them.

As for the game theory, I used its terminology incorrectly, my bad.

The great advantage to the small apartment situation is that Masaru will be very easy to supervise at all times.

You mean easier damage control?

That should go into the thread "You know you're a figure skating fan when..." (...you mistake jewish involuntary prophet for canadian coach)

Who's that prophet Brian?

I have confidence that she will be, she is super focused and very competitive, she enjoys winning. And all the attention is nice and I think will act as further incentive, after all it came from the fruits of her labor. It’s fame derived from her hard work and talent, and I believe she knows that.

I hope so.

[emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23] something tells me the Moscow apartment is about to undergo an extreme make over.

Alina may be getting that new apartment sooner rather than later. Because Masaru ate the old one!

The thread is moving so fast.

Alina and Masaru's day is here, i'm so excited for her because another of her dreams is becoming true. This is another video of Masaru arriving to Moscow and enjoying the grass: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lvTZyxu4SHw The bouquet of roses won't last

PS. Congrats Scott512 for your post 1000, you are already reaching 2000!!! :).
