2018-19 Russian Ladies' figure skating

Some footage that someone recorded from warm up. I think Anna lands her quad lutz in this towards the end but not 100% sure
She sure did, and what a quad Lutz that was!

I really hope we'll get to see a clean, beautiful one over the course of this season. This one was sooo rotated, it didn't hook at all on the landing. And the air time's identical to Trusova's.

Seems rotated in slow motion, but with questionable edge.
... Well, there it is.

How i want to see Sasha & Shoma do a side to side cantilever :luv17:
I imagine Japan will want to invite the multiple quads girl to their ice shows now! make it happen :agree:

She is wonderful, but the program is ...:sad21:
What is wrong with the program? I like it very much - it reminds me Hanyu olympic FP actually  Of course it's not feminine at all - but if you assess it as a male program - it is very good, full of tension and hidden strength :agree:

Give me your eyes, please, because I can‘t see any edge whatsoever from a low quality video like this. I must be blind. No, seriously, I‘m glad that she landed it. Hope we see one in competition this season.

And I actually like Sasha‘s FP more than last season‘s. She is very powerful and while I normally prefer more elegant skating, I actually quite enjoyed this one. And her quads are insane, of course.

It's not a question of femininity versus masculinity, it's just that her program looks like a jumping exercise - one that she's very good at, mind you.

Comparing this program with Seimei though...

Because it is a jumping exercise at the moment. Seriously, it‘s the first time we‘ve seen this program and she‘ll likely make some changes and improve it over the course of the season. And I can‘t blame a 14 year old girl for not having the most artistically polished program when she‘s out there jumping 3 quads. I hope her team focuses on this but for now I‘m simply quite excited by what she‘s given us so far. She has time to improve and I hope she does. :)

But you‘re obviously right - comparing this program to Seimei... outch.

LMAO

I think the music cuts, once again, ruined the program. I don’t even mind that she’s just jumping and jumping in the beginning of the program, because as you said, she’s exceptionally good at it. Even the miming at the beginning didn’t bother me, it makes sense in that choreography and music and concept. But the rest of the program is just... I don’t know what’s happening.
I guess I’m still waiting for that one good program Daniil has choreographed this season... It’s definitely not this one...
I have to admit I’m kind of hoping he saved it for Kostornaya! [emoji23] If he gives a chopped music program for Kostornaya... It will be the saddest of them all.

It's a junior program by a junior girl.

Do you have one from when Hanyu was 14?

I thought that there were several interesting moments, some great transitions and such, especially to that one spin. I also liked the musical transition towards the end. Of course, at the start it's mostly skating from quad to quad but... Which male skater's program isn't when they open with 3 quads? She's not some miracle worker(Although she sort of is).

Exactly my point. I honestly don't understand why it should be compared to the best program by arguably the best male figure skater in history... It's not fair to her if anything.

I couldn't even see the program properly with that video of not so good quality so i'm gonna wait for the JGP videos to give an opinion. It already looks better than the last FS which i really disliked despite watching it like 1000 times to watch her land 2 quads  I really really loved her SP last season tho (despite the questionable lyrics). It was fun and the choreo was really good. I hope her kill bill program is good too.

I wonder how much TES approximately this layout would bring? How much if you change 2A to 3A?

My personal evaluation.

4Lz +4 (11.50+4.60=16.10)
4T+3T +2 (13.70+1.90=15.60)
4T -1 (9.50-0.95=8.55)
2A +1 (3.30+0.33=3.63)
//
FCCoSp4 +3 (3.50+1.05=4.55)
3Lz+3Lo(x) +5 (11.88+2.95=14.83)
3Lz+Eu+3S(x) +4 (11.77+2.36=14.13)
CCoSp4 +4 (3.50+1.40=4.90)
3F(x) +4 (5.83+2.12=7.95)
FCSp4 +3 (3.20+0.96=4.16)
StSq4 +2 (3.90+0.78=4.68)

For me this FS would score 99.08. For a more lenient panel she might break 100 TES for this skate. Total BV would be 81.58 if she hits level 4 on everything. Changing the 2A to 3A would bring her 4.7 points extra on the BV.

ETA: finally seeing the complete StSq thanks to Elucidus!
